UncleBuck, has someone hacked your account? How do you go from being one of the most likeable accounts on this site with such witty and fast comebacks to, "what are you 12?"

I mean dudes got a pretty valid point. And all you got is, "what are you, 12?"

Here's another point, if you need 750,000.00 dollars to produce herb for $50.00 a pound and then have to charge $1500.00-2000.00 just to get your investment back, I would argue it costed you quite a bit more than $50.00 to produce a lb, it costed you $750,000.00 investment to produce that lb.

Or if you have to find 'zoned' property as part of your formula for recouping your costs, that zoning process should really be part of your budget in which case, again, it probably cost a lot more than $50.00 a lb to produce that herb.

And I think the distinction needs to be made that the example that was used earlier of needing $750,000.00 investment was for an entire 'collective' I believe, (jesus, I hope :wall:) not just one dispensary.

And if it wasn't, any dispensary that needs $750,000.00 investment might be in the wrong business if they plan on getting that investment back anytime soon, or wish to regain that investment before people who smoke remember it grows for free in their backyard.

Especially since a lot of people who frequent the clubs aren't idiots, they've been smoking and buying herb for quite a while and know how this middle man mark-up game is played and know when they're getting b grade pot at an a grade price.

Cost of production is a difficult equation. It certainly takes more than 50 bucks a pound. It takes a minimum of eight hours to even cut a pound so at 15x8 is $120 just to start. I would throw out around 300 dollars would be the base cost of producing outdoor/greenhouse and around 500 for indoors. This is for grade A retail quality. I suppose you could produce at 50 a pound outdoors with a machine trim but this would be B quality and only be worth 300-400 dollars wholesale and likely only fit for extraction. The hidden costs of production are around every corner, that's why its so difficult to achieve the production cost targets that we all dream about.

Minimum 8 hrs to trim a pound? Holy shit! And I thought my trimmers were slow. God Damn

Hmm..so everyone on this site has humbly admitted to only growing topshelf, they all get at least a gram per watt, and now it has come to light that they all produce it for pennies on the dollar.

I can only conclude that everyone here has wifi on their private jets that enable them to post on rollitup :)

Probably about $6000 a pound. I like to run 10 1000w hps aimed directly at the walls and ceiling for the best indirect lighting to get the plants in the right mood. I like to run the lights on a one hour on, one hour off schedual. in the dark period, I have 25 strobe lights all set to differant strobe speeds. I find useing a couple disco balls along with the strobes really helps to distribute the light evenly. I like to water each plant with 800 grams of THC infused vitamin water. I spend roughly 3 hours a day singing love songs to them to set the mood. Then I kiss each plant on the top bud to stimulate growth hormones. I really find this to be the best methode to growin the finest grade mexican weed. After trimming and drying it as fast as i can in the microwave, I vacume pack it to brick form and throw it in the freezer.

I know everyone's costs are different depending on many variables, but what does it cost you to produce one pound of herb? What's your set up, and how efficient is it for you?

Feel free to post pictures of your set up, or better yet, the product you grow in your set up. I'm mostly interested in quality over quantity, but am curious about both.
All in, about $400/lb. plus the cost of trimming it; anywhere from zero if I do it to $500 if I turn a bunch of noobs loose and let them run with scissors.
