How much is possible with a 2'x4' ebb and flow

I am looking into setting up a little ebb and flow system to try out hydroponics a little. I have done a few soil runs and things have been great. Just wondering what others think is possible from a 2x4 tray. I know it is really small I was going to do 12 small plants under 3-600 watts of led. Depends on if the yield will benefit more than the cost of another light.

Any info would be helpful, I am completely new to ebb n flows.
