How much light in an 8 x 4 ?

Right now I have 600 watts of vero29 going in my 8 x 4. The lights are taking up no more than 5x5 and I have a bunch of wasted space. The plants are growing really fast and pretty soon they will be too big for the lights.

I have a 350 watt MARS hydro LED lamp I could put in to supplement the spectrum. Is this worthwhile or should I just buy more COBs? I know the COBs are better but I already have the mars. Some of the plants are up to week 3 but the two biggest ones started 12/12 yesterday and they're huge (7 gallon felt pots, over 4 feet tall with the pot and bushed out to a dozen tops) the other plants are in 1-2 gallon pots and the stretchiest ones are over 5 feet tall but only a couple of tops

I think that if you wanted to maximize the potential of your space it would be to add another of the vero arrays. If you just want to improve the use of your space and already have the lights then use them. I;m sure that your girls will approve.

I'm trying to get a feel for the difference in yield between 600 + 350 MARS and 600 + 400 COB

how significant is the difference between vero29 and the higher end LEDs such as CREE ?
