HELLO, and thanks for reading.

I have two Alpine OG FEM, under an 180W Apollo LED full spectrum. I know textbook says I WILL NEED more light especially for flowering. But my question is how much is the minimum I can go for? Prices for electricity are so high were I live so I need to keep it calm.

If I buy another 180 W Apollo (the same exact one) will work, maybe a 300W LED that would be perfect.

Could I just buy 2 - 40w HPS or 100 W, and put them on the sides?

Pleas really need some suggestions, I am a new grower and would be so thankful with some advice.

PS> I build a nice capsule inside the closet that I can adjust as it grows, my growth has been exceptional so far. WILL ADD PIC

GOOD VIBES.

ok LED and COB lights are measured in PAR
photo active radiation (energy that plants respond too) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Photosynthetically_active_radiation

so the watt of LEDs matter little less then what kind of light u are using ........some LEDs are well just off their PAR rating is crap compared to other brands

1 what type of plant are u ..........it matters more then u think (auto/photo)

2 apollo lights are good for a off brand infact i use a 300w for my veggie as this brand is little stronger on blues then the other generic leds....but it is a off brand the par rating is not the best but not the worst ........other brands will get u a higher return in flowering ( hence why it is in my veggie)

to save costs I'd opt for T5's even T8's to veg under

cfl's for seedlings and ur LED for mid flower to harvest

just keep in mind buds need light

maybe put them in the sun as much and as often as you can

good luck
