How much will I yield from this setup?

Ok so Im going to have a 5Wx8Lx8tall grow room with 2 600 watt hps lights. I am going to have 18 plants strains: afghan kush, blue dream, GDP, green crack, kushberry, and strawberry cough (all 8-9 week flowering time). Im going to be picking them up when they are all about 3-4 weeks old and then be putting them straight into flowering. They will be in either 3-4 gallon buckets with fox farms ocean forest and will be using big/tiger bloom for nutes. These are the important factors for the yield since I dint think that the specs on my ventilation ect would really make a huge impact. Thanks for the input everybody

everyone will tell you that this is the most annoying question there is. only way to know for sure is to do it and see.. strains matter but not as much as ur light. u need 1000w light for a lb so with 2 600s u should be able to pull a lb if u take care of it properly

every grow is different.. even for the same grower.. just depends on the specific conditions YOU give ur set up. anywhere from half a gram to a whole gram per watt

probably going to produce a shit load of heat in that small space on hotter days depending where you live. hopefully you will have powerful enough venting. i would def go with cool tubes also.

This is a very general answer and wrong. You can pull a lb from a 400 or 600 if your a decent grower. Which strain you pick will determine whether its possible or not. Ive pulled a lb from autos using a 600, they finished in 60 days.

Why are worried about your yield ? You first need to worry about keeping them alive and growing. Worry about a good healthy grow and the yield will follow.

Maynard G. Krebs has it right - yield is less important than all the details you have to wade through.
Worry about lights and watering first.

Having said that, you are going to be pinched for space bro'. I realize that the 2 x 600W set-up is
preferrable to the usual single 1000W light for coverage. However, 18 plants is a bunch in a 5 x 8 foot room.
I would flip them now if you can because of stretching. The plants will still grow during flowering,
especially if you switch now. Any way you look at it you will be pressed for space.

Good luck, BigSteve.

i couldnt agree more. i would do 4 plants under each light. You would probably get about the same yield as you would with all 18 and it will be less work to start off with.

I have harvested 20 dried OZs from a 600 watt light. Get your setup dialed in and the yields will improve each cycle. I dont even worry about yields anymore. Its all about quality.

lol , I am surprised to see how many people actually know who Maynard G. Krebbs is . Growers are showing their age.

Back to the grow. You get your grow operation dialed in and you should average close to a pound every harvest. Remember. more plants doesn't always mean a bigger harvest. A smaller healthy crop will yield more quality smoke. Harvest time looks great to the eyes , but becomes a lot more work trimming than people realize.

thanks for the input everyone but ya in response about ventilation I am going to 8" cool tube reflectors with an inline fan and ducting to cycle the hot air outside and fresh cool air in through another window. My goal is a 1.3 pounds since that is .5 grams per watt which seems to be the minimum average but I would be plenty happy with just a pound of quality smoke for my first indoor grow since I have done a lot of outdoor but that is on a whole different level of growing.

DOBIE GILLIS FOR PRESIDENT - MAYNARD G. KREBBS FOR V.P. !

yea I know but I was hoping someone that has done a similar grow with experience could give me an estimate
That's why no one can really answer your question - no one except you knows what your experience level is, especially with those items you listed. It's your experience that really counts, not what somebody else might be able to do.

1. If you're a true expert and do everything right, the best you might hope for is about 2.65 lbs.
2. If your a typical, experienced, grower; you might expect half that. Or about 1.3 lbs.
3. A "First Time" Noobie would be lucky if the plants lived through the experience and produced a "few" ounces. If the plants all survived he might expect to get about 10.5 ounces

The above three examples are based on the "Gram-A-Watt" scale.

oh shit youre going to yield like 6 pounds bro!!!!!!11
make sure you use advanced nutrients though. Thats the only way you can get 6 lbs

naaaa player if u keep reading u will see i said anywhere from a half gram to a whole gram a watt. that includes a LB from a 600w hps because a LB is only 400 grams

actually 454 but I am a fairly experienced grower with great success outdoor and I have done indoor growing till the plants are about 6 weeks old before I put them outside...I have just never done a full indoor grow

how tha hell can u correct me on my math and then turn around and say half a gram per watt on a 600w light is still over a lb. UR TRIPPIN. .5 per watt on a 600 is 300grams buddy
