How often to nute my soil???

I've searched the forums, and none of them answer this question. How often should I apply nutes to my waterings? This is my first soil grow, and I'm using GH *Flora Series. I'm not sure if I'm suppose to nute every watering or every other, or what. I'm thinking I'll just feed if they show signs. Like only nute when it's yellowing, and give it regular water when it looks fine. I'm not sure if that's the best way to go tho. I want to give it all the nutes it wants w/o over feeding it.
I'm not looking for the answer "go buy a TDS meter!". I'm just curious on how others schedule there feedings. Thanks you guys +rep :)

I feed and water alternatively. So feed, water, feed, water, etc.

However I always stay below 80% of the recommended dose of nutes (I used the Canna Tera line) even at peak growth. Only if there was a deficiency did I add the concentration of certain nutes.

I started from 15% strength when the clones were rooted and worked my way up to 80% gradually over several weeks. This way I avoided any major nute-burn, but did have some P deficiencies midway through flowering when bud growth was crazy.

I also learned that plants still need some vegging nutes during flowering, as mine went N -deficient a little early.

I honestly just mix 'em all up. For flowering i use the flowering, bloom, and PK13/14 nutes all at once when I feed (should've also used a small dose of veg nutes every other feeding when flowering). Usually water 3-4 days after, then feed again in 3-4 days. So essentially i feed once a week using a 2 gallon pot.

Like I said i recommend a small dose of veg nutes every other feed for the first few weeks of flower until bud growth really kicks off.
