How precise are strain differences?

I'm planning a first grow over winter and I'm curious about all the strains and how noticeably different their traits, tastes and highs are from one another.

Do you notice the difference between two different strong indica dominant strains? Such as two different strong indica strains but with similar potency - Would you know a difference?

I prefer the body stoned indica high primarily. So I figured I'd grow mostly that, but I'd like to get some sativa in there too.

stays relevant.
yes, all strains are very different, and even the same strains can be very different if produced by different seeds, or at some point deal with different amounts of stress.

So you think it'd be worth it growing two different strong indicas?

2 strains can be indica dominant, yet worlds apart.

The Herijuana F5s we have are indica dominant, goddamn narcotic little nuggets that disable you after a couple small hits. Smells a tad flowery, peppery, with some skunk thrown in. Tastes like earthy, spicy goodness. 2 hits will demolish me for hours, and I won't go anywhere for hours.

The HashplantxHindu Kush ladies we ran last year were similar in growth structure in height, short little indicas, but they are nothing like the Herijuana. Smells woody, and tasted hashy. Instead of the downright devastating stone the Herijuana delivers, the Hashplant/Hindu gives you a much more mellow, relaxed, dreamier stone. Made me very sociable, not disabling at all.

Strain differences are huuuge. Even seeds from the same parent can be damn near polar opposites.

And yes growing 2 indy doms is perfectly fine, it's nobodys prerogative but your own to choose what goes in your garden. Although I would suggest mixing it up for variety after you experience the 2 indys, there are sativa strains that are simply fantastic. Try a bit of everything to see what you like best.

I'm closer to Los Angeles, San Bernardino actually. I would send you seeds, but I basically exhausted my Herijuana seedstock the season before last. I only have 9 Heri seeds left myself, I tossed the males last time around because I was just growing so much different shit. They're not normal Herijuana, it's fuckin killer F5 stock bred by Sorter himself. Devastation is an understatement. Thank god the man bred them into uniformity, I would hurt myself if I had lost his hybrid.

I just bookmarked your profile, and when I make seeds in March, I will definitely give you a PM... Believe me bro...
