I believe there is a limit to the file size that can be used ... Most gifs are usually too large.

..I go onto an animated avatar site, then it says to copy the URL which I do.. then I got to 'edit Avatar' on RIU, there is already 'http://www.' written in the box that headered 'Option 1' where do I go from there?? do I delete the 'http://www.' thats already there and then paste the copied URL? .. or Do I just paste the URL on to the 'http://www.' thats already there ??

there is a 2nd option that says : Option 2 - Upload Image From Your Computer: .................is this an easier way to do it ??

I can't figure out where I am going wrong? I was up all last night trying to figure it out ...and now I wanna break stuff,

Make sure the file size, dimensions and type are correct. Upload to a common file hosting website like Photobucket. I know the uploaded seems to dislike URLs from certain sources (both the advanced text entry one and your profile uploaders) No idea why, though.

As long as the file size and pixel dimensions are small enough, yes. It should work. =)

This is the GIF I assume you want? It's way to large. Too many kbs.

I separated it into frames and it has a FUCKTON of unnecessary frames. You could easily shrink it down.

Thought the problem was he couldn't upload a particular animated GIF... Crypty had to point out how to upload Any kind of avatar via URL *giggle* but I understand if he has trouble removing some of those frames, maybe someone should do it for him..

How do I go about reducing the frames, to make the file/pic smaller in capacity ? - STELTHY :leaf:
