I am seeing people post pictures of their grows, mostly flowering stages. I see some showing 5 weeks or less of lfowering and the buds are covering most of the damn plant. Call me impatient or whatever but I am closing in on week 4 and my buds are still just getting covered with hairs and not even going up the main stalk yet. Could I be doing something wrong? I have posted pics in a couple other threads but shit, my plant is mostly Sativa and I have one Big bud skunk/northern light breed that doesn't even look like half the plant I am seeing. Could people just be full of shit when they say what week they are on? I count my week when I 1st change the light cycle so i will be closing in on week 4. WTF?? lol but seriously its not impatience, its nervousness that I got a 4-5 month bud strain 0.o

If your plant is healthy then your doing nothing wrong,..,,.Being that your plant is sativa......it can take forever to flower.....of course it varies with all sativas but typically they will really start packing on weight in later weeks (6th week and up)...just be patient.....

I believe that some people do lie about how how old there plant is but thats usualy during veg. Seen 2 week old plants on youtube that look more like 6weeks.

Are you using CFL? They are known for fluffy slow bud growth during flowering. IF so keep your CFLs close. Hid will help alot, But sativas take awhile.

I know how you feel, an I just got my first HID box going now an im hoping for those incredible buds. It costs alot to set em up but after that is money tree box.

I have a small grow space so I use a 250 Watt Hortilux HPS. They are sleeping right now so tomorrow I will post pics. I do keep them on a schedule for ferts, water when the soil is dry a finger deep. its not the experienced growers I am talking about, its the people on their 1st grow that post these incredible pics of their plants at 4-6 weeks that look like they could be done in less then a week. They are really healthy plants, no leaves are yellow but they do have a slight yellow tip from me messing up the schedule but other then that they look great. I guess I can start to cry if after the 6th week they are still small ass buds. They did show some big growth in one day after I fed them nothing but 1/2 teaspoon of neptunes harvest hydrolized fish/seaweed to 1 gallon, and 1/2 teaspoon of Purple Maxx which is mostly just 5% Potash. Pictures tomorrow morning I promise :)

A lot of people start the count when they see flowers starting.

I start my growth count when I take the seed from the packet and my flowering period from when I switch to 12/12.

People can lie. Flower production varies with variety (strain). Indica produces flowers in spurts, and sativas produce flowers gradually.

True, the learning never stops.. Which makes it fun.. I love reading what people are doing and experimenting with different methods. Some of these people are incredibly intelligent and good at what they do.
