How to amend mother in Super Soil?

I'm keeping my mother in subcools super soil recipe. She's been healthy for a while now but is starting to show some CalMag deficiencies + nitrogen deficiencies. What's the best way to get her more nutrients? I was thinking of mixing in 1/4th the original amendments she had in the super soil into water & then feeding it this way or doing the same thing except making an AACT with EWC, Guano, and 1/4th the original amendments.

I top dress and work it in the top 2 inches with lobster kelp dry fert. I use Alaska brand fish emulsion in the water until I see improvement. Along with a Tsp/gal molasses. Foliar spray with epsom salt and water if needed. 1/4 tsp/gal 1-3 times every other day. 018.jpg

Looking great! How much of your original amendment mix do you add when you top dress?

About a Tbs/gal of soil. Don't forget to feed the soil. That molasses makes a difference. And that was a month ago on that plant. It's out of control again. Come on summer.

In cloth smart pots this isn't easy but in plastic pots I'll pull them out and do some root pruning/cut the bottom off a bit and then set it back down onto a nice pad of fresh soil with amendments. Then I top-dress a bit as well after I scratch off some of the top to make a little room for the goodies. I tend to go heavier on the calcium providing amendments knowing I can get fast acting nitrogen inputs when needed. I also use nitrogen fixing bacteria to help as well.

I'm really bad about keeping moms too long and not cycling through more often so I've definitely been in these shoes. I've been eyeballing the NFTG OneShot stuff as part of this mother keeping regimen.
