how to be discrete

I want to vent my hoods out of a window in the basement. what should I put on the outside so the neighbors don't suspect anything?

Also, if you're just looking to make it look professional, just get a standard outer vent hood like they use for dryers...

This one is obviously the best option!

Get a a busted ac unit. Gut it and vent thru it. It's still gonna stink around it.

I like that AC idea but do they make them small enough for a basement window?

If you emptied out the a/c then you could line it with HEPA and carbon filters. That would eliminate any odor. Not sure though it one would fit. Anything that clocks the view of the window will work. As long as you filter the air before you ehaust it you'dd be fine. You could even get and old compressor box and line that with filter and dticck it in front of the window.

Tin shed/water barrel

i would go with carbon filter vented through dryer, but its winter why not connect it to ur heating to cut down on your bill.

Dont know what you set up is there but, I have some lattice laying up next to the house in front of my basement window. You cant hear that blowing noise or feel it. Just looks like some lattice laying up next to the house.
