The is an up date to this thread https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/83765-my-first-clone.html

STEP 1: Cloning Items

The first item you need is a humidity dome. This is the type I have. From hydro store.

http://www.hydroponics.net/i/241182 and http://www.hydroponics.net/i/241180

You need the trays to hold your plants. The little razior knife is to cut the clones.

A cake cover from the bakery or Rubbermaid and Glad Ware may have items you can get cheeper.

I like to use rockwool. You need to soak it for 24 hours in water.

Macro Plugs, Bag of 32
Availability: Usually ships in 24 hours
Item Number: 111001
$5.95

You need a root gel or power I use Clonex

It's about $5 at the hydro store. Other stuff should work I just have a good % with this.

Next is some thing to feed them for two weeks. I like this http://www.hydroponics.net/i/132118

1 small spray bottle.

Finial item is lighting. I use 2 set ups

The first uses (4) 24" T-12 flows. I use 18/6 for the light setting.

This set up is built over the sink in the half bath as a bonius.

STEP 2: Ready to Cloning

Watch some you-tube vids these two are great and about 5 minutes each. I just googled "growing marijuana".

These are the two best vids I found to help clone.

YouTube - How to Clone Marijuana - Cloning Marijuana

YouTube - How to Clone any plant for hydroponic or regular gardening

you will have some thing like this when finished.

Picture at day 6 just spay the water and B'cuzz mix alot all day.

For two weeks it just looks like this.

You will want to peek at your roots. Don't. It only looks like this for the next two weeks.

Also at day 6.

day 8

STEP 3: Ready to Put in Soil

Finially after two weeks.

This is about as soon as it can go into soil.

A few more

A good tip is to use https://www.rollitup.org/newbie-central/154927-my-planting-tip-16oz-cups.html

The last holdout #5-1. She finally went in soil today after 19 days.

Here she is in the soil.

Then just veg on 18/6 until you ready to flower on 12/12.

Looks pretty scientific to me, I'm sure it works well but I just put them in a cup of water and sometimes add an airstone till they sprout. I like to do things the simple way.

I'm not complaining about the way you are doing things and glad you posted, and took the time to explain it so well and add pics, I just like to throw things out to give people a choice about what they want to do.

I actually compliment you for doing such a complete job, you are definitely thinking. I'll even give you some rep for throwing it out there.

You are doing a great job !!!!!

Nice clones man

I just simply cut, soak in superthrive water for 6o secs. then dip in rooting gel or powder, stick in soil, water with same superthrive water... 10-14 days later they're well rooted with new growth and ready for transplant.

Explain a little bit more on the foil thing. How does light get through beside the 3 or 4 small holes you say to poke. Im looking at a different way to get humidity without a big plastic lid right now.
Thanks!

Seran wrap mane! Look around, find something clear (seran wrap, plexi glass, piece of glass, etc.) you can always find something to make a little greenhouse out of!! Also, a spray bottle with a fine mist helps a lot with the humidity... you'll want to spray them atleast once a day anyways so you can get the clean air exchange.
Good luck!
