how to deal with fluoride in water

Is there a way to deal with fluoride other than ro filters? Some might say it doesn't matter, but I feel like it does when you want the soil/microbe life to be as healthy possible for the plants to better uptake the nutrients from the your amendments. In my area too, the tap water seems to have a lot of fluoride. Out the tap, the water has a white tint and bubbly look. I even remember they city sent letter alerting us that they were going to use extra fluoride. Any suggestions or experience on this?

I had nothing but issues with my tap water when I first started w/living soil which I know from the annual report is laden w/chloromine and fluoride among other things. There is no way to remove it without filtration far as I know. Consider an alternative water source: I use water collected from my dehumidifier running 24/7; been growing with it for several years now. Problem is nothing gets collected when the air is dry kinda like it is right now in the dead of winter of New England. So I put buckets out when it snows (just like it is right now) and rains plus I have access to a natural spring if I ever feel like hauling big heavy jugs around. I have also used Walmart RO water at .37 per gal when in a pinch....
