Hey all,
I'm writing to tell you about a new technique I've discovered for finding those hard to spot pests that compete for your crops. Apologies if this is well known or has been discussed, but I think it's good enough that it bears repeating...

In addition to the usual tricks for discovering the presence and general location of the little bastids (droppings, holes in leaves, curled leaf "sleeping bag", etc), I just discovered that I can spot them easily, regardless of their clever camoflage, by hunting them AT NIGHT, in the dark, with a small, powerful LED flashlight. Just shine the light THROUGH the leaves, and trust me, anything that isn't supposed to be there will show up like a sore thumb, in silhouette.

This works amazingly well. Happy hunting.
