How to get seeds to sprout in rockwool and when to transplant into dwc??

Thanks in advance for the help but this will be my first time growing and i'm curious as to after i germinate my seed what do i do to get them to sprout in the rockwool i have looked up a ton of info but nobody really tells you how to get them to sprout i can find a MILLION info on everything else but that also if you can tell me what nutrient brand you recommend it would be greatly appreciated. btw i'm trying to grow in a dwc system so any advice would be greatly appreciated and once again thanks in advance

Put the seed in wet paper towel till it sprouts, once the tap root is about 3/4" long, have your PH'ed rockwool ready with a hole poked in it big enough for the tap root, gently put the tap root down seed shell up into the rockwool, keep it moist in a humidity dome till the first leaves arrive, take the dome off put under a CFL about 12" away cover the rockwool with something that won't let light hit the root till you have some roots then transfer.

I have seen guys plant seeds in Solo cups and grow them till they are root bound then transfer the whole works to DWC, this way seems so much easier.

BTW if you want to watch an expert grow DWC, Hygro Hybrids DWC how to on Youtube is very informative, he is funny to because he is High as shit when he does the videos and can pretty much imprint all the info into your brain through repitition, I used Orbit downloader to download all his DWC stuff as I want to do this with my tomatoes.

just plant seed sideways, so you can see its side fully not the edg but the whole whole side, into a fold of the rockwal and keep moist not soaked but moist and make initial sock for an hour in 5.5ph water, then sprize to keep damp and your good should see action quickly, also plant it about 1/4 in into rockwall and then cover or push together th erockwall but be carefull not to pop out seed, onto floor then under foot

i do the same thing in HP promix

no towel

no baggies or any other shit just sow and go

oh and my germ rates are around 98% over my 3 years going at it with seeds

Hope you have a few seeds cause if you listen to our Russian Friend here you will be disappointed, however it is up to you how you want to do it, the Russian way or the way everyone else does it

So here we go, haven't decided what nutrients or final medium ill use but for now im throwing them in coco. And i mean straight into coco, i sow into damp coco no nutrients or additives of any kind.

its good to have all your supplies prepared before starting


So i fill each small pot about 2/6 to 3/4 full and then add a little water and mix it all up to make sure its not to wet and level out and make hole, i try not to compact the medium at all if can. then i put a pinky nail depth or sized hole in top of medium about 1/4 in down to put seed in

then i mark my containers if i am doing different seeds

and throw em in making sure they are on they sides so when the tap root can extend

then i fill all holes with appropriate seeds and fill not compact just cover lighting so that light is blocked from getting through




then place them in under my cfl keeping them warm but not burnt

no messin with paper towels at all, and well i use peat now but since i used coco in this example you can start feeding low dose , soil enriches and light feed like canna start for the seedlings as soon as oyu see the second leaves start to pop, and slowley ramp it up,, now i mean low PPMs like under 200

and if you dont have a PPM meter just feed with kelp and very very low dilutions of your veg feed until they seem like they can take it

Okay you grow dope for a living, it really isn't that difficult, thats why it is a hobby for the majority. Anyhow the guy on youtube I mentioned you really can't judge he does the biggest DWC I have seen so far.

Pretty obvious your a poser the way you go on in your signiture about your excessive wages and about your AR15, your pretty well convinced your the shit!!

Whats wrong with starting clones or seeds in Solo cups anyways, shitloads of growers keep there plants in small root spaces to keep there plants small till they need them. Doesn't hurt anything actually.

Maybe you should put a penis on the end of your AR15 and go fuck yourself with it, as much good as an assault rifle is to a grower.

as far as transplaning goes, they will grow much faster in the DWC so as soon as they can take , what you consider to be a full dose of

nutrients for early veg, idk about hydro, but in inert coco which runs on similar principles as hydro when it comes to nutrient absorption ,

is around 400-500ppm, id say you are ready, about to restart my hydro set up after years but i do , ebb and flow w/foilare spray
