How to make a crutch for a joint

tired of having a joint kinda be hard to smoke towards the end because it gets all compressed from lips and was originally somewhat tightly rolled. So I figured adding a crutch might prevent this problem. What do I need to do this?

Also, on another note, got a sweet bubbler for xmas. gets me high as fuck

you gotta "m roll" the filter. You know, fold the end one way, flip, fold the same end the opposite way. You should be able to look inside the rolled filter and see the letter M...if you know what I mean. Its added support

btw, does anyone still smoke joints to get stoned? they do nothing for me anymore besides a buzz, i just smoke them when outside

I can still smoke a joint to get stoned... but I prefer blunts and glass. Joints make me conserve though.
I remember there being a thread on how to do this, but I cannot remember! Kuroi was beast at joints.
I never understood how to smoke with a roach clip... lol by the time the joint was low enough to use one, I was too high to figure it out!

I smoke joints, ez widers for me. Not all the time but I like 'em on occasion. I use a hemostat for my roach clip.

fuck it, i tore up a bus ticket, rolled it the best way I knew how, put it in my rolling paper, filled up the rest of the paper with weed. Not bad. I'm waiting for my sister to smoke it with me, will be back with reports and questions based off the experience. Thanks for the help!

I buy the Raw organic hemp papers that come with the filter papers. But a business card or part of match book would work too. It helps to have a thin stick to roll the paper around into a nice tight tube shape. The smaller and tighter the rolled tube the better it holds when you let it go.

Next I like to roll starting from the right side. Then I unroll it and roll again from the left side. Now it should be a really tight tube. Next I unroll it and take one end and very carefully fold the edge over. I fold it over three times to make a zig zag shape or until I have a tiny W. Once I have the W formed at one end, i roll it back into a tube. That's it.

they make papers with a wire that goes through them so when you get towards the end you can just hold on to the wire from the paper that has already burnt...works good.

also rolling a small slither of a matchbook at the end of the joint will create a "filter" that helps hold the form towards the end,

I will.. but I'm a cig smoker too... so..
I also smoke a bong and pipe too... I use much less when I smoke via bong or pipe.. but enjoy the J every day.. nothing like smoking outside pissing off the scrub jays..

use a little scrap of cardboard from the pack of rolling papers, roll it into a bit of a circle, and insert into the end of the joint. i've always heard them called "spliffs".

I used Google once. Came up with all kinds of videos, tutorials, and even some for sale.

We used to roll up matchbook covers for crutches, but these days most folks have lighters. But really, a roach clip eliminates the need for one. SOme people cant help slobbering on the end of a joint and fucking it up. I just purse my lips and inhale without hardly touching the end

You should use Randy's papers, they are some pretty good papers, makes it pretty easy to roll and great "crutch" roach clip, pot holder, or whatever you want to call it, comes along with it ...

Thats why I go straight adolescent and smoke out of a crushed can LOL, but seriously just boat tail that bitch and if it gets loose throw it in the bowl and continue.

I've always looked for the "W" because I figure it stands for "Win!"

You tear off a narrow little strip out of a business card, and roll it up into a cylinder...just tight enough to fit in the mouth opening. It will expand a little because it's coiled, preventing it from falling out. Poof a crutch.
