you want at least 50 ppm. i woudn't buy it when it's really easy to make a solution of silver ions or colloidal silver.

Great thread!

Making feminized seeds using colloidal silver is easy and cheap.
I have done it a bunch of times using Tiresias Mist.

I made a thread about an auto fem seed crop.
https://www.rollitup.org/auto-flowering-strains/548016-auto-feminized-seed-crop.html

When using regular plants, I spray the whole plant for a week before 12/12.
Then the sprayed plant goes into 12/12 and is sprayed for another week.
Any plants I want the tranny to pollinate I keep out of 12/12 for about 1-2 weeks to let the tranny get a head start.
If your pollen sacks are opening before the other plants are ready to be pollinated, you will be fine. There will be more pollen.
The window to pollinate buds is pretty big. I like to get the buds infested with seeds.

With the autos, I started seeds that were tranny candidates two weeks before I started the seeds of plants I wanted pollinated.

In my opinion the transition stunts the plant a bit so the extra week or two of flowering head start are very beneficial.

I like to let the seeded buds go a long time, until they are falling out of the buds and the bud material is over ripe.
Big, fat seeds always seem to do better.

I will be starting some seeds to make a Blueberry fem seed crop in the next few days. I doubt I will be able journal it real time, but I will take pictures as I go.

Learn how to save and store you pollen. That way you can hit one branch of every plant you grow and have a few nice fem crosses.

So 50 ppm is the go? I made my own CS generator and I could only get the ppm to 25? It took me 3 days to get it that strength so I cant see how people are getting to the 50 PPM with a home generator.

Am I missing something? Using distilled water, 3 9 volt batteries and I just cant get any higher. It just goes really black and doesn't look any thing like the cs I see online.

Any advice guys?

Might be best to just buy the solution buddy posted when I asked, I know thats what im gonna do. I aint gonna fuck around with this, If im spraying something like this on my plant making it unsmokable im going to do it right & make sure it produces something for the sacrifice.

Yeah the thing is it's cost a fair bit to get it oz (shipping cost more than the bottle). Thats why I wanted to just make my own. They don't seem to sell it here for some reason.

I'm about to have another go so I'll see what happens this time round...

try a bit more current. most of the people I know who've done it used an old cell phone charger that they cut and wired to make the generator and that runs 12v so it could be a current issue.

Awesome bro, Thats what im going for. Thanks a bunch for that info. Do you dilute it at all with water or just spray as is ?
I do not dilute it. I buy out atty 50 ppm and put a few ounces in a spray bottle then spray once a day for a few days before 12/12 and a week or 2 after, every other day on the last week. You will have ball clusters, you don't need a lot and the plant stems seem brittle.Female goes in After 3 weeks and by 1 weeks later I have balls just starting to open.... That's as far as I made it but but I see by next week having pollen flying and flowers ready to receive it... I used clones that were about 3 week veg not big at all. I I cut the male down to 1 side branch and the female was lst a little

current is def the issue, are your 9v batteries in series or parallel? make sure they are parallel. i was thinking of checking the ppm of terisias mist spray just for shits n grins. i originally thought40ppms was good enough, but after reading an article 130 ppms and you dont have to douse the plant for 2 weeks, just a few treatments. so much better in my opinion.

I'm probably going to run a test with clones treated with varying concentrations and application frequency to come up with the easiest way.

Well I hooked up the batteries like most guides suggest. Tested it all with a multi meter and it's putting out 27 volts??

Just got some fresh distilled water and checked the ppm before I placed the silver in and it's reading 0. It's now at
3 ppm so see how it goes.

I thought 27 volts would be plenty?

its more about the current for this application. 27 volts is plenty but i dont think they are putting out enough current. putting them in parallel reduces the volts but ups your amps. no spare cell phone chargers u can cut up?

I certainly don't see anything wrong with using bud that's been sprayed with colloidal silver. I've been making my own for 2 years and drinking 4 ounces a day of colloidal silver. That guy Paul Karason that was on Oprah turned his skin blue by using saline salts and tap water, that's why he has Argyria and looks like Dr. Hank McCoy. I make mine in a half gallon glass jar with .9999% pure 14 gauge silver wire. 2 – 6 inch electrodes connected to 3- 9volt batteries with alligator clip leads and always using 0 ppm distilled water. I've never made colloidal silver for the purpose of breeding seeds but I'm going to start soon as I have a prized Mandala Satori clone that is super easy to clone with great yields ,excellent growth rate and outstanding potency. It would be a perfect candidate for a feminized seed batch.

I order my .9999% silver wire from CC Silver out of Phoenix , Arizona. They have the best prices on silver wire . Their 14 guage is only $11.00 a foot, all you need is one foot , then evenly bend it into until it separates and viola ! It will make GALLONS. Don't waste your money on these fancy over priced Colloidal Silver Generators, all you need is 3-9 volt batteries, and yes you can use 1 – 9 volt but it will take hours to make 30 ppm with a single 9 volt. It takes me a little over 2 hours to make a half gallon of CS that's only around 12 ppm. Using a smaller glass container, it will speed the time up for making the stronger 30 ppm strength. As for the danger of not consuming bud sprayed with CS , that's laughable , though I've never made mine 30 ppm , when I started drinking mine I was buying the Trace Minerals brand of CS that was 30 ppm and it's way cheaper to make your own. Whether you drink it or spray it on your budding plants it's not going to kill you or make you sick.

The upside to using batteries is you don't need an electrical socket and are portable anywhere.

I don't think you will find anyplace that will beat their prices on silver wire.

I will see if I can find one and give that a try. Just out of curiosity how long does it generally take you guy's to get the PPM to 50?
