I am going to start stalking you because I almost missed this one. I am becoming a borderline groupie of your posts and threads. Thanks for sharing your wealth of information. I will do my best to listen and learn (which is not always easy), and as I have stated before, you are a great teacher for new growers of MJ.:leaf::leaf::finger:
Thank you! I have never had a groupie LOL but I suppose I could get used to it
and there are a bunch of growers from a bunch of states commin to the Colorado Cup sponsored by High Times first week of April if ya wanna join us :)

Wow!! Those plants look good. So nice and green. Looks like you put a coat of wax on the leaves. Whats your lighting source?

150W HPS & 250W CMH. They had some misting of Neem Oil for spider mite prevention. I think gives that wax shine to them.

So, are you saying that those gorgeous plants under the lights in your picture grew under the wattage stated? What happened to more is better? Awesome!:leaf::leaf:

how can you tell the difference between "healthy" or proper leaf necrosis in flower and necrosis due to a deficiency or other problem. during what stages of flower is this most pronounced and during late stages of flower how can you tell between burnt leaves and those dieing from healthy necrosis? do the lower fans die because of lack of light as the plant stretches and you move the light higher or are they being exhausted for thier stored nutrients and sugars? if you feed your plant what she needs when she needs it why would the plant ever need to kill off its fan leaves for their energy and nutrients? when does the plant stop photosynthesizing enough that it would not need the large fan leaves. this leaf necrosis starts for me after the first few weeks of flower and continues with the fans moving its way up from the bottom until harvest. is this normal and healthy? i always thought that a healthy plant stays green and leafy until the end. is the plant essential dieing while it flowers and it slowly cannibalizes itself to put its energy into its reproductive organs or flowers?
Riddleme, i would love to hear what you have to say about these questions.

sorry for the delay in answerin this, has been a busy morning :)

I did a lesson on this using my tomatoes I was growin outside last year in my balls to wall thread. New growers tend to panick at the first sign of "anything" that seems wrong or different. While an experienced grower hardly pays attention. I see a single leaf yellowing (in a sea of leaves) and I just know the plant is done with it. I see 12 leaves yellowing on a plant and I know there is an issue.

The whole lettin em die at the end is forum rhetoric based on the actual fact that it's what they do outside in nature, the whole it's like the trees leaves changing color in the fall thing, which is true. But I'm growing indoors and the conditions in my garden don't change like the seasons so why would I let em die? the hyped up answer is more forum BS cause there are nutes in those buds, you don't wanna smoke nutes. This is BS cause the plant turns nutes into other complex compounds, there are no nutes in our buds! then the guy comes in and says yes there are I have smoked weed that crakles & pops and burns black. Truth is they are smoking uncured sugars in the bud, proper cure being the secret here :) and as also deeply explained in my threads the plant requires N in order to properly ferment (cure) those sugars. I know for a fact that plants grown green & healthy without allowing them to die in the end are MORE POTENT because they have the N left in the leaves to perform proper fermentation. I have posted pics of a harvested plant drying that is sucking the N out of the leaves even after it is chopped (also in the Balls thread).

As I have said many times on this forum in many threads I have no problem with folks hangin onto the myths, hype and BS. Folks tend to believe in things that they want to for whatever reason. I simply put out the truth for those that are looking for it and those that find it can atest they are smokin better buds. Not one single grower that has followed my advice has come back and said dude my buds suck now cause I listened to you :)

Yea, they were flowered under the two bulbs you can see in the Full pic. The vegging was under a different 250W CMH.
It's as much light as I would want that's for sure. I wanted to do a 2.0 UV-B Reptile bulb too, but it was too much.
CMHs Rule.

That's it, I'm spending my full monthly Disability check for AN's full line up. There must be something I'm missing. Maybe a 1000W HPS, cause if I spend enough I can have even more weight to sell. Maybe Liquid Karma or Gravity is it, just don't know. Oh, it must be Bushmaster, or Granny's Ennerggy.
Big Mike has won me over RM3, cause un-verified testing is better than University research.
Just sounds dumb to even type. :dunce:

I had one to tell you RM3, just to re-state an obvious we are all seeing. I went to the Dispensary where my sis works. One of the growers handed me a lb. size sack to smell. He called it Huckleberry. Bag had Sweet tooth written on it. I saw buds & didn't see trich's. It needed cured for a week or more. Poor trimming, looked like it was done when wet. I keep going away shaking my head. $10/gram.:wall:
I wouldn't trade them an Oz. for an 1/8th of mine.:leaf:
Thanks for all the help.

no way you are the best teacher with out your threads my plant would be shit.
I meant to touch on this and got busy so I forgot :) perhaps I was stoned???

IMO this is not genetic but rather a learned skill, will the learning curve be a bit higher for some yes, I play guitar and while I can play the Crazy Train riff, I am no Randy Rhoades but to someone that can't play I seem like a great player. To new growers coming to this site I seem like a great grower. I have been playin guitar for over 20 years and gardening for over 40 so do I make this stuff look easy,,,,sure

The other thing is (that I have noticed) all the bad info in the forums increases the learning curve and causes confusion. If you have read my threads then you have seen pics of plants grown by patients I have taught one on one (in person) 1st time grows with beautiful plants, these patients had no preconcieved notions, no myths or bad info to dispell, they simply did what I told them and were easy to teach. Here however I have the stumbling block surrounding the forum retoric to overcome causes a lot of folks to ignore me (which I don't mind) those that find me and listen are all growing healthy, happy plants. I put these threads out on purpose to help get new growers a chance to find me and I bury info deep in my threads to get folks to read the whole thing. I back up things I say with solid rsearch and I try to teach by example with lots of pics. Those that have read my threads will tell you this is all true (some have already chimed in here) I give growers a foundation based in truth, gets em started but in the end experience is the best teacher
