i recently purchased a 4inch inline fan from hydrofarm and didnt realize that it would sound like a jet in my room. I saw there are mufflers you can buy to reduce noise but is there any other ways. Also does anyone know what those mufflers are made of because they seem easy enough to make myelf. Please help.

come on people. I know there is another thread in the forums but someone had to have come up with a better idea by now. Were constantly evolving and so are ideas so lets hear them.

I believe u can build a plywood box and insulate it. Drill in air holes then place fan in box. Cheers.
