hi, i bought 20 dr kripplings incredible bulks from herbies headshop, ive done this strain 2 times from them, and both have been great, but the out of the 20 ive just popped, all bar 1 germinated as usual, but have 13 of them all growing weird, very slow, single leaves, twisted etc etc, i have done nothing any different from normal ive checked and checked, even though it costs £160 theres no way i can risk growing them out even if they do "catch up" i cant trust them, i planted some spares 2 weeks later and they have taken over the bad ones alredy, problem being here in the uk because of the laws how can i complain without saying outright ive germinated them??? please help!!!!
thanks

Herbies didn't do anything wrong. What are you upset with them for? They don't make the seeds. They delivered what you payed for. And to be quite honest, it doesn't sound like Dr. Krippling did either. All but one didn't germinate right? It sounds like it's definitely a problem on your end.

You can try contacting the breeder and explain what you mean by growing weird. Sometimes they'll offer to fix things if you approach them respectfully.

Other than that, I guess you could lie, and say they arrived damaged, but that would mean you're kind of a shitty person.

Why not post some pics of these weird plants? We have got quite a few folks on here who know a fuck load about growing cannabis, real weed ninja types, maybe they could help you.

The good ol American way, blame the victim. IF there are deformities occurring I would be more looking at how many there were and what the possibilities of getting that mutation could be. Not just assuming that it is my fault or the breeders. You seem like a total ass in explaining the different ways to go about it. Why not just give him the first paragraph and gtfo?

Now as far as telling the seed company that you had a bad experience I would have to say that there are so many factors that go into what could have went wrong that you should just chock it up to a bad experience. I wouldn't blame yourself, the breeder, or the person who sent you those beans.

Just don't get those same strains again.

no mate you read it wrong, they all germinated EXCEPT 1, im around 99 per cent germ rate from herbies (soak and root it) been very happy over the last 5-6 years, never had any problems a few hermies along the way but nothing to cry over, what im saying is out of 19 plants 13 of them are proper mutants, I do understand that youll proberley think im doing it wrong etc but even though im no expert grower I get by, ive run this strain twice pulling about 30 oz from 10 plants both times, so I do feel im doing ok, worse then some better then others, (with the help of this site over the years!!) and what im saying is not I want my money back etc, but if theres been any other reported problems with this strain, and to also give them the heads up if theres a bad batch etc, its just how to approach them, I do appreciate you stopping by to try to help, but slow down brother, and read it properly before you answer, your reply might be different, thanks again

The seedbank sells 'souvenirs' so no luck with them. The breeder might help no idea never tried.

As said^^ , you can grow them twisted fuckers out and see what happens. Unless they are really slow as hell you can get some nice phenos sometimes. Mutants offer the possibility of being exceptional in terms of high even though they are not great growers.

Seed didn't grow right so must be the re-sellers fault i.e the seedbank. How exactly did you eliminate the breeder or yourself as the cause of the growing deformities. Where are the pics detailing the the growth irregularities so we know what your on about. Some people ....

like the way you say "seed" im talking 13 out of 19 that are growing retarded!! and i havent ruled myself or the breeder out, as i wrote ive done this strain a couple of times and alls been good,
I didnt start this thread to bash herbies who ive used for the last 5-6 years, it was how to aproach them to complain, there might have been for all i know several others who had problems, its still a relativley new strain, to give feedback will help if theres any stability issues, as it stands ive just ordered with them again, and i will continue to, i think perhaps you didnt read my reply to travisw, and just for clarification ill get some pics up and you can see for yourself (within 24 hours) its not help with the growing im after mate it was just a way to secretly tell them i got a bad batch and let them deal with it, no refunds, no freebies, just trying to give them a heads up, phssss SOME PEOPLE!!!!!!! get a grip fella,

Check your lighting and your medium...

hi thanks for the intrest, i use envirogro pl2 lights for propagation, and i soak my seeds for 12-18 hours then into root it plugs, i use a heated propagator and have been doing this method for a while now, with great results, i know my temps, humidity etc are spot on and the lighting is sweet, id say the only weak link in the chain is the root it kit, though ive never had any problems before, its just a weird thing that 13 from 19 are deformed and extremely slow, thanks

google 'x-rays effect on seeds'. Quite a lot of old research there. Strangely it seems plants grown from highly x-rayed seeds grew bigger and tasted different.

What did Travis say for you to draw the conclusion that he's an ass??

IMO he's spot on. This has nothing to do with Herbies, and if all but 1 germinated I don't see how the breeder is culpable either. OP should contact the breeder, with pictures, and let them know that the plants are not looking up to par and if they chose to send some replacement seeds then that's bonus.

From where you stand he is spot on, from where I sit I perceive it as his response comes off as nice and callous while also being derogatory. The dude clearly said that all but 1 popped and he isn't straight blaming anyone he is looking for some wisdom on how to go about this issue. He doesn't need to know how to lie and cheat the system while also being called a shitty person for going that route. Instead he could have explained his position without being an asshat and it would have went over smoothly.

We can agree to disagree it doesn't bother me but re reading his post I still get the same shitty vibes comin from it.

i thank you for your reasoning, i agree that my point of contact should be with the breeder, i should have put it as "complain to herbies/dr krippling", BUT the issue ive got is in what secret coded way can i tell them? when in the uk you arent allowed to germinate??? this is NOT about getting refunds or freebies its about giving feedback, i would have thought herbies would like to know incase theres more people having issues, some people are to quick to judge that everyone is after something for nothing, in the end i thought fkit and just ordered more,
as far as what travis said i think it was the manner that he said it also he said in his reply "all but one DIDNT germinate right" well no not right, i said all but 1 germinated, so in his head it was obviously me that couldnt pop the beans right, so perhaps if he had read it right then his reply might have been diferent,
its a shame but everyone looks to blame people/things, sometimes its not about blame

The disclaimer [ for souvenirs only ] that all bean banks post makes it clear that they wash their hands of anything other than delivery.

If you can't contact the breeder, make a thread on RIU and give your feedback. Mission accomplished.
