I just bought a variable resistor(volume control) to control the speed of my two computer fans, but I can't figure out how to wire it up. I am trying to wire it into the cord of the AC/DC converter. The power source is 1amp 12volt, and the resistor is 3amp 30volt. I have some pics any help is greatly appreciated. +rep for an answer. Thanks a lot.

It looks like you hook up the power to the back of it, and then the fan hooks up to the front of it by the control knob. Thats what it looks like to me at least, anyone else??
