How would you control guns?

How should we regulate guns?

Yeah, I was thinking about that as well. That's why I didn't go with the 1 in 7 twist. Too specialized and limits the range of bullet sizes I can run because of stability issues from what I've learned.
Want to try new ammo? Get more uppers. lots of possibilitys
You can even get shotgun uppers that mount onto your lower with no modifications

if youre planning to hunt hogs with a n AR15, you need to consider the .308 caliber AR10.

even a .30/30 often just irritates the big ones.

if you plan on dropping ~$3000 for a semi-auto hog gun, get a garand, or a nice shotgun with a cylinder bore and some slugs.
Isn't an AR10 overkill for hunting hogs?

i'm still learning the intricacies of the laws in regards to the AR family of firearms. Gonna have to dig a little. The recessed mag release is not only legal but required here in Cali and the sole purpose is to slow mag changes. That magnetic tool sticks to any ferrous metal on your gun. The upper has lots of metal as do many stocks. I was reading the packaging that came with my buddy's button tool and it specifically stated that it was not magnetized in order to keep it attached to the button but to make it easier to keep track of by storing it on a metal surface. It is legal to use but it is supposed to be removed after use.
and the sticker on a condom dispenser makes it clear that they are solely for the prevention of disease, not contraception.

and caffeine is a "falvouring" in mountain dew, candy cigarettes are a "novelty intended for adults" and that weed is "purely medicinal".

Other ,
You can't control guns,
You can control people,
Places with gun control still have gun crime ,
You would just feed an arms blackmarket,
gun crime in the Uk is still frequent just the news media channels don't find it interesting enough because we have gun laws,
Ban,
Cars
Chainsaws
Dogs
tazars
anything could be a weapon, ban the lot,
could you drown in coleslaw ?
fuck it ban it....

i'm about $2k into it right now and am waiting for the lower to arrive so I can assemble it. I hear ya on the .308 being a better hawg gun but i'm building this for multiple applications. I want to be able to hunt small to mid-sized game, from squirrels to deer. I can fire rounds from 35-65 grains with the 1 in 9 RH twist i'm running. Almost got a 1 in 7 so I can run the 77 grain which damn near matches the ballistics of the 6.8 but I chose to go for general utility and flexibility instead. The 5.56 will do fine by a hawg when using quality ammo.
you ever hunted piggies before bro?

when they decide to come at you, that .223/5.56 is gonna feel pretty inadequate, and the shoulder gristle will turn that popgun pellet aside like you were throwing tennis balls.

my grandpappy alway said "Boar huntin is just like bear huntin, 'cept pigs is meaner and smarter."

i wouldnt hunt deer with a 5.56, even with good quality dumdum bullets. they just dont deliver on anything over 150 - 200 lbs.

AR's are like hippie chicks, fun to play around with, easy to handle, and a little bit high maintenance, but they will not put meat on your plate.

an AR10 is a stoner type semi automatic carbine with a beefed up action, larger bolttface and longer carrier travel to accomodate real rifle rounds instead of intermediate pop-gun cartridges.

i have no idea who those hipsters might be. they all need to get some sun though.
they look like a scandinavian pop group with rickets.

it's always funny to see that those most in favour of limiting our rights are the ones who are LEAST informed about the very thing they wish to curtail. if you and diane feinstein put your heads together you might be able to figure out how to change the magazine on an ak47.
I can't remember if it was a news anchor gal or a politician who couldn't get the magazine to load into the AK, after saying they were so simple a child could operate them. That memory is very foggy.

Talking about those least informed of guns wanting to get rid of them. Basic human assumption to be afraid of anything you haven't been accustomed to. People have phobias about the unknown, UB is no different than most.

Talk about educating people, anything that looks like an AK is called an AK-47, whether it be an AKM, and Actual AK-47 or the AK-74. Most people couldn't tell you the difference I would imagine. SO even I tell people I have an AK-47, even though its really an AKM. Peeps don't know the difference unless they are in the know. Even many of the people that own the damn things don't even know.

I find it telling that they want to ban Semi Auto rifles, even though they were only involved in 1/12th as many deaths as Pistols. First the rifle, then the pistol, then the shotguns, piece by piece is the plan.]\

wow, Im really high right now.

As long as guns are made they will continue to be used to murder people. If there were no guns, there would be a lot more arrow related homicides I imagine.

Find the ammo that works for you, you can probably find a heavy ass bullet that will shoot accurately in your rifle if you look hard enough or can experiment with reloads. I have a .223 that is 1 in 12 twist that keyholes 6 MOA almost anything over 55 grains, except for 62 grain Fusion ammo which is 1.5 MOA at up to 200 Meters (Max range for that caliber on a whitetail deer). I have some reloads I worked up with 72 Grain bullets that does 1MOA out to 150 yards, which is what I take with me to go hunting deer in the brush, otherwise its the .308 Remington 700 BDS Varmint With the fat ass 1" Shilen Barrel that is 1/2 MOA up to 700 Meters, thing's a fucking beast at 12 pounds with the Leupold VX3 6.5-20mm A.O. scope on top. With that much weight you would figure that the recoil on a 150 grain wouldn't be so bad, but that fucker bucks pretty good, bucks real hard on 180 grains. My .308 AR-10 Clone soaks up the recoil, you can shoot all day without feeling it, but its no where near as accurate at range as the Remmy.

it was diane feinstein, on the floor of the senaate, with a chinese made ak47 and a 30 round magazine. she fumbled around for a few minutes, before a staffer ran up and showed her how to affix the magazine to that peasant's weapon.

bear in mind diane feinstein is a Deputy US Marshal, and carries a beretta 9mm on commercial airlines, in courthouses and on the floor of the senate. it is illegal to attempt to take away her firerarm under US statute,, despite the fact that she cant even operate a peasant's gun.

"sensible gun control"? Keep guns out of the hands of diane feinstein.

I was really high the other night and wondered what would happen if gunpowder suddenly went inert across the planet and simply did not go boom anymore. Would there be more violence or less violence?

Then I realized we have steam power and super cooled magnets and such and projectile weapons would simply be re-designed to not use gunpowder...

Violence would probably go up in the short term. Dunno about the long term.
