Howard Marks...R.I.P.

We lost a big one! He wasn't well for a long time. RIP Howard Marks!

Damn shame. I met him and Rhys Ifans at the premier of Mr Nice in Edinburgh around 5 years ago. We smoked a joint outside the movie theater. Ifans was so wrecked he wasn't able to field any questions from the audience after the film. He just kept repeating/muttering "Howard is a pirate" to anything he was asked.

Marks was a super affable guy. Gave great lectures about his life, too. Happy to have seen a few over the years before he died.

Came as a surprise seems like yesterday we were sharing a joint under the Catalunyan sun in the Montseny moluntains..

You're all so lucky to have met the guy...
His activities kept me in hashish through my teens...feckin' nice one Howard!..wherever you are

Found this, well worth watching.....I'm kicking back with a fat one right now...

Im so grateful for the work that he's done out here with Jaime (Resin seeds), Shanti Baba and the girls. The collaboration work with other seed companies also. His legacy will live on.

Required, glad it existed

Read his books, watched him give a lecture (although it was more like a stand up routine) and love his cameo in Human Traffic

Whatever dimension he's moved on to its a better place for having him and a loss that can not be replaced here on earth.
