I just wanted to stop by and intoduce myself. Been on the site for a little while, just never really got out of the general forums. I have a red card and I am a Colorado Amendment 20 compliant medical marijuana patient. :leaf:

Yea man unfortunately...APBTs are completely banned in Denver (probably the only reason I dont live there). They're just stupid about that shit for some reason.

Punish the DEED NOT the BREED.

Really any breed can be dangerous lol I've noticed pits can be a bit dog aggressive, but again that is on the owner to train and break their dogs of this...

i could go on and on about American Pitbull history. but the breed was bred for dog fighting, they must be socialized more then other breeds to avoid fights and issues. they were also bred early on specifically to breed out traits of human aggressivness since the handler must be in the pit with their dog. the problems are usually related to owner mishandling or cross breeding. but like shepards, dobies, malamutes, rotties and any other large dog - a single bite is more devastating then 10 bites from a chihuahua, so it gets a bum rap. i've mine for 11 years now and never an issue (except them fighting each other. but siblings do that :) )

i know all about the history EC..i own a staffie, originally they were bred as bull baiters hence the name pit bull...the butcher would use the dog to grab the bulls nose, while he clubbed it in the back of the head, as we all know pits are great for this because of their strong jaws

too bad more folks didn't know, they might be less demonized. i've only met a couple pits i didn't like. i've known tons of ankle biters that would make better footballs then pets.
