HPS lighting troubleshooting help!

ALL TEN of my lights went out. I checked to see them off, flickering every now and then. I doubt it's the bulb since they seem to have all gone off at once. I tried to reset and no luck. My power box is supplying the 240 volts. The breaker on my main and powerbox hasn't tripped.

I am running 10 600w lumatek ballasts
600 hps maxlume bulbs
DPC 12000 powerbox

I also tried a 400 w bulb and switched it to 400w on my lumatek ballast, and nothing. So i feel i can rule out the bulbs.

hmmmm. Have you tried just plugging one ballast in a turning it on? Sounds like you did. Man you really need to get a voltmeter in there and see what the voltage is across you main wires. It has to be a power issue with all lights not turning on.

check the circut breaker /fuse on the meter box, just read post again , nvm... lol
try each ballast on another power outlet , or just try 1 at a time
my guees is the power box shat itself

Ok, i've narrowed it down the problems, and fixed one problem. i checked the receptacles and realized there wasn't a ground. so i went back and realized for w/e reason the ground wire nut decided to come loose. i've created a tight connection and now the 120v of the powerbox ignites the lamps, but not 240v, which is what i'd normally use. I checked the voltage and each prong of the 240 outlet gives out 120 each. i even checked the end of the cord and it's giving out 120 each prong (except the ground).

So now i have reasons to believe the lack of a ground fucked up my all 10 of my lumetek ballasts and while it will ignite the lamps at 120v, something fucked up that won't allow the usage of 240v. So i'm now in a pickle, can it still be the powerbox?

it could be the powerbox. you said you have 120 v from each prong but to what? ground or neutral? a bad ground should not cause a problem,it is not needed for the circiut, DON'T misunderstand,it is important for safety, but the circiut will work w/out it. the neutral is a different story.
you should get 120 v from each leg to ground and to the neutral. put your meter between the 2 hot legs & you should get 220 v.
hope this helps..mc
