HPS/MH conversion bulb??+rep

Can anybody direct me to a legit link for a bulb/ballast (not really sure how the conversion works) that will work with both HPS and MH bulbs?

Tried search, no cigar.

Any help is much welcomed....

ideal price would be somewhere under 200 bux and legit wattage for me would be 100-200

Ebay has great deals but the ballasts they sell aren't always name brand ballasts. I got a good deal on there and i haven't had any problems yet.

MH bulbs will work in HPS ballasts. I have done it for quite a while now. You do not need a conversion bulb.
Note HPS will not work in MH ballasts.

Holy shit! Dude if that's true you just saved the day. So much less complicated...

Kinda would like to see some verification from other members though? Not saying you're wrong, I'd just like to get a few more ideas on the matter.

It works. I have done this for over a year now with no problems.

So just any High pressure sodium ballast can fit a metal halide bulb of the same wattage?

yes the wattage must match. simple as that. My hydro store guy passed it on to me when I was what else, trying to buy a conversion bulb

yeah i feel like those can get pretty pricey and i guess it turns out you really dont even need one!
