HPS set up

Hey, right now I am using CFLs on my newly spouting ak-47s... but I want to switch to HPS (at least by flowering).

I see the 150watt HPS at home depot etc, but can I plug that into anything that can handle 150 watt (like a clamp light)? or does it need to be purposed for HPS??

you will need a ballest to hook up to the light.
its best to use hps about 4 weeks into vegg, or start if 12/12.
for vegg you need blue spec hps
and red spec for flowering hps.
you can get a dule spec, red and blue spec for both.
make sure you get the right one.
maybe get a proper grow light hps ,ballest and reflector.
they cpst about £50 to £100 of $100-200.
check them out on ebay.

It says it includes lamb, fixture, and ballast, but looks like I'd have to do some wiring, anyway I could just fix this so it PLUGS into my powerstrip??

you might wnt to get the proper ballast for the bulb...do some research and find out but dont just try it because the bulb might start a fire if you mess that up
