HPS very dim and yellow

I have a 400 watt hps light on a digital balast.
It is very dim and yellow. I know it is suppose to
be yellow. I don't think it is suppose to be dim.
It use to work great. I have had it for about a year and
3 grows. I didn't think it was that old and thought it should
last longer than a year. Especially since the hps is only used
for 12/12. Any help would be appreciated. (looked in "search"
no help)

Recommended lamp replacement is 6-9 months.

I replace mine every 9 months because I have some down time between grows.

If I was 12/12 perpetual I would replace every 6months.

Funny you mention that. I use 400's too but I use MH for veg and HPS for flowering One of my MH lamps blew out and of course I was on the horn to HTG Supply to rush me a replacement and when I got it and fired it up I couldnt believe the difference and how much brighter it was.
So yeah, it makes a big difference when the old ones regardless of whether its HPS or MH when they start to age.
