Thought this was an excellent price for a 240W 7 Band LED Panel: (-->CLICK HERE<--) Can anyone comment on the quality? I know LED's are becoming more mainstream so are the prices finally starting to drop???

First, it's not a true 240w light. It has 80x3w chips, so theoretical 240w but since the leds are not fully powered, id guess it falls into the 135w-150w catergory. So that price is about the norm for a real basic led panel. And no, prices are not finally coming down, nor do I expect them to in the future. We are currently in that "sweet spot" for pricing, where the new stuff coming out this year.will keep a similar price tag to what last year's "new" stuff was at. Think tvs...last year you buy a 55in led for $1500, next year the exact same tv going for $800, but the brand new 55in with better resolution, built in wifi, etc is at $1500...make sense?

I heard HTG is the top supplier of the previous version LED grow lights in the USA market, now I am looking forward to seeing their new lamps, but not sure if they are developing or not.

I know I like the look on these which seem to be the same as the blackstar 240 so I'm looking forward to purchasing and adding it with my 600 for now but come summer time add 2 LEDs in my 600s place for the summer months.

So did you pull the trigger on one of these panels? Interested to here about its performance?

I'm interested as well. I saw one on display in Kzoo, seemed pretty bright, but similar to what you would expect for wattage(135-150w).

I picked one up, and plan to add a 2nd in my 2x4x6h cabinet, but haven't popped seeds yet. I found the following link at Grasscity forums that is informative.

"Okay, so I just purchased a Kilowatt Meter to check the actual draw of my HTG 240w panel, and it came out to 156watts.. Idk what this means but this is still pretty good. Does anyone have any comments on this? I know I found while doing research the BlackStar was far off of what is stated as well."

I hope dude above is for real. If so, my cab will have 44w/sqft.

That is a great price and it is actually closer to the 240w than you would think. Give them a call and ask questions, they don't mind at all. I use the 135w UFO and I love love love them and have been using them for over a year now.
