htgsupply taking forever to ship

Okay, so I ordered a 400w hps on 4/17. The business day was over and I hadn't expected it to go out over the weekend but what I DID expect was that it would be shipped on Monday. I have received no shipping notification whatsoever and according to my order status on their website my order is still 'in process'. I am a little bit perturbed over it taking so long. I paid instantly by prepaid debit card and I think it's perfectly reasonable for me to expect them to get my order to me in a timely fashion. After all, they got my payment instantly.

I sent them an email last night at around 6 EST. Haven't heard back from them yet but I guess it's still early in the business day.

I'm just sorta antsy because my latest grow is flowering under inferior floro tubes. Every day I wait is less yield.

Anyone else have problems like this from htgsupply? This is the first time that I have ordered from them but I've heard horror stories about people having to wait 2 weeks just for them to ship. Not cool at all and if thats how this is going to go I won't be doing business with them again.

Just make sure you call them!

I had the exact same problem and I guarantee they will say that they are out of the bulb. They actually gave me the Sunmaster bulb as an upgrade, which was like $20 more expensive.

They NEVER returned my emails but once I got through to them on the phone they were cool and sent it out the next day with 2 day delivery. Busy time of the year Bro!

It's not a horror story. I had the same problem. If your in a hurry be nice and call to check on it. My guess is they are a short staffed smaller company with a good following nitch. They didn't reply to email change order inquiry within 2 working days so I called during business hrs. When you call and talk to someone it appears your needs move up the priority ladder and get done. A call will do it and he packed same day of call and went out next day. If you send only emails and don't call you will be on the wait list till they get to it. 2 cents....

I was pissed at the time too but you will be happy with your new light!

Just 1 phone call is all it will take :)

I had the same issue.. I paid with a credit card so i was thinkin the same thing. It should be quick and easy right?? Well it did take a lil longer than i expected but he threw in some free shit for waitin so long so I was happy!! And thats all that matters right.

calm down....sometime even though you pay instant as i do it will sometimes ship from a diff factory or a diff seller....you should be ok as this is a reputable dealer

HTGSupply's PHYSICAL stores are closed on Monday but their phones are online so it's reasonable to assume that they will ship orders on Mondays that were placed over the weekend. In fact, the weekend may be WHY they are closed on Mondays. The volume of orders that they get over the weekend may be such that they have to play 'catch up'.

Additionally, HTG claims they stock their items and ship themselves to avoid hassles so under most circumstances there shouldn't be any delay due to waiting on another company to ship.

Regardless, I am withholding any more judgment for the time being. After all, it was only delayed by one business day so far.

Just to let you know htgsupply almost always sends out a free timer when you buy a light. At least I got one when I purchased my 250 watt HPS

I will say this:

Though on rare occasions people have reported small problems, I have noticed that overall people seem to be very happy with htgsupply. I was checking their feedback on ebay and I think like 17 pages in I found the first negative feedback. Prior to that there was only one neutral and everyone else seemed happy.

LOL...you order late on Friday and are knocking on the door one business day later wondering WTF?

Are you used to getting everything you want at that moment in time? HTG aint burger king but they do a dang good job.

This time of year is extremely busy and I wouldnt expect miracles.

if you order ballast from them watch them closly as they tend to have missing or loose parts inside. They are known to send ballast missing ignitors or having the cord sets unwired inside. poor quality but your paying for poor quality items so you get what you get. Thier bulbs are infamous for burning out in a short time

you may have a point here. I have ordered from them in the past, they took awhile to ship. One set I have had no issues with. The other set, the bulb blew in a week and the cord plug going into the ballast melted/corroded. This was a the 600W HPS with digital ballast. I will say that thier bulbs are very intense, so no lack of lumens, but you do have to keep an eye on the electrical.
