It was put to me like this..
Humic acid to establish solid root growth erspecially in early veg stage..
Fulvic acid to open the roots and help ur plants uptake the nutes specially mid flower..
Ive had similar results when using and not using..
So im still undecided.

Don't add organics to a chemical nutrient system. It just causes the system to have unneccesary problems. Humic and fulmic acids are not needed with chemically based nutrients as there are chelates already provided for the metals (trace nutrients) and because the major and minor nutrients are alrady in forms readily usable by the plants roots. Humic and fulvic acids just perform prinicipally as chelates.

Really old here but Humic acid is great in a hydro system. Tech support at dyna gro advised using it in an Aeroponic system to prevent the nozzles from clogging. I use it as a foiler feed in coco at a 1:10 ratio of humic/h2o. Humic acid is the bee's knee's in hydro !

Humic acid as many of you know is organic matter in a stage of decomposition not yet to crude oil. Currently the major source of humic products is leonardite which is mined out of the ground and is very high in humates. Fulvic acid is not officially recognized by agricultural authorities as it is more or less a purification of humic acid. There are two methods of refinement that I know of; that is chemical and cold processed. Chemical treatment involves phosphoric acid cleaning the humate source resulting in the gold liquid we know as fulvic. Many view that this method is the cheaper and less efficient in preserving he beneficial qualities of the humate source. There is one product I know of that is made from a cold microbe based process and that is Ful-Power by Bioag. The humate source is cleaned by way of bacteria resulting a clear liquid that has no similarity in appearance to dark, black humic acid products. This inmy experience is the best product to use in a hydroponic environment. It brings the natural chelating effects, trace minerals, and latent energies to your hydro!

I've been trying to find what humic products people use, which is not an easy task. I will be trying Ful-Power by Bioag. I like the fact that it is clear, It seems odd to put something with pulp or "clumpy" into the res for keeping clogs down, even though it seems to be working. Thanks for the info !

I love fulvic / humic acids! Definitely use them! I apply fulvic as a foliar spray with Organic Rescue Mist (throughout veg and into transition) and for humic, I use Nutri+ Pure Black.
