Humidity dome to keep seedlings watered

I have to leave some new seedlings (just popped out of soil) for two and a half days. I'm going to need them to stay in moist soil, so I am planning on covering them with tall plastic cups with holes. I melted about eight holes and covered them. I wonder if this is too many because the airflow from the fans seems to be drying the cups after a few hours. Would they be vented enough with just two or three holes? any other methods to make sure they dont dry out while I'm gone?

I think 8 holes are too many. I used humidity tents for my clones...one had holes and the other didn't. The one without the holes rooted faster. As soon as I sealed the holes on the other I got roots. But, since your seedlings just popped up you risk damping off if they get too moist, so I'd try just 1 or 2 holes, to be safe. Good luck!

Definitely make sure they stay damp. They will be fine for 2 days with a little too much moisture, but if they go pretty dry in 2 days, well you know the rest...
