Hydro Flush

Okay so I am growing in an aerophonics system with hydroton in net baskets and sprayers that spray the roots/baskets for 24 hours a day with 4-30 minute breaks in there 24 hour cycle. My questions is how long do I have to flush since I am not in soil? Is 48 hours good or do I still have to rinse for 2 weeks? Also I dont have any clearing solution I was just going to use plain ol ph'ed water is that okay also?

i can say that ph'd water is fine, sorry not too sure about duration though, good question. i plan to use ph'd water for last 2 weeks, but the tirck is knowing when it is the last 2 weeks

^^ right I waited to long thats why I am asking whats the worst that could happen would the chemicals make me sick? Chemicals as in nutrients left in the plant.

alot of people i've talked to flush hydros for just like 2days...i flush for 10days tho

buds not properly flushed act like rice crispies in ur bowl....crack snapple pop...or something like that

^yes and nutrients in your bud definitely won't make you sick, it just might not taste as good or burn so well, thats the worst that can happen.

ok they are chemicals, but they are naturally occurring, i guess its like eating the citric acid in an orange isnt really like you're eating chemicals

flushing isnt just about how ur bud burns or tastes..its mainly done because it forces the plant to use all its energy and sugars that are stored up in the plant and makes the plant have one more growth spurt thats y i do it..my hydro girls get 10-14days of flushing and my soil girls get 3-4 good flushs which takes about 3weeks..the good thing to do is to flush for like 2weeks..i hear of people flushing for like 3weeks to a month before harvest and some that flush for just 2days

the shortest flush i did was 6days hydro and the bud didnt crackle pop taste like crap non of that it was coo..hella bomb actually

Well I chopped Em tonight they got a ph balance plain water rinse for about 50 hours I post how the smoke is in a couple days or so thanks for your input dudes!

well I tried some of this 48 hour rinsed smoke and holy shit it it good! No snap crackle or pop and the taste is stellar. I would say I am good with the 48 hour hydro flush.
