Anybody hear or see this on their last bill. I haven't had a bill since May.
But just heard on CP24 that it was .04 cents last month and going to .09 cents a kwh at the end of this month?

That would be about an extra $30.00 a day for me, $900.00 a month more?

It's to pay for the green energy bs and the gas plant mess.

Anybody?????

my electric bill fluctuates from .04 to .08 regularly. occasionally higher in summer when they know you need it. Weve gotten used to it. But sounds like youre obviously runnin a couple thousand watts.

Do you have a plan set up with the electric company? Because high users get a locked rate or a discounted rate for using over X kw/h

Just tell them youre running a few servers with multiple 800w+ power supplies if youre in a not so medical state.

Sorry I should have said that I was in Ontario Canada.
I am fully legal so not a problem there. Just feel we are getting f'd again.
Delivery fees
Dept retirement
Smart meters
And now this charge.

Don't know if they offer a bulk type discount.

Why? what are you paying??? In Sask it hasn't been .09 cents for over a decade. Right now we are at .13 cents in the city? Sounds like western Canadians are getting soaked...again! JAS

we pay depending on the time of day and time of year the max is 12.4 cents (hydro one) but because I live in the country they charge a delivery fee witch is usually about 45% of the bill

i figured because you used the word hydro as electircity

and you can get discounts or at least a locked in kw/h price without using major amounts of electricity.

also you might be able to read your own meter and send them the reading and save you that charge for having an employee come out and read it.

I live close to nuclear power as well as an electric companies headquarters that has several wind turbines so the cost of electricity is pretty consistent.

Are you even Canadian?

With smart meters they don't come to the house anymore I believe the delivery charge is because the hydro has to travel so far and the number of house per mile of wire isn't anywhere near the number in the city so they have to capture the profits some how

you realize its not even going up one whole cent so for it to raise your bill by that much you must be running a hundred lights. it only went from 11.8 cents to 12.4 cents

I hope you are right.
From the way they said it on the news. It sounded like a new line they were adding below the del. charge and he did say "9 cents a kwh"
As I said Hydro One (my supplier) hasn't sent me a bill since May just a letter last week saying it should be coming soon.

No I am not running 100 lights. Lol
Only 11 in flower room, but using about 340 kwh a day.

I'll just have to wait and see when they do send a bill.

Hey Shawns,
Ya I think you are right.
I had recorded the news and watched it again and the reporter messed up in how he worded it.
So I was thinking it was something different from what you were talking about.
But just got off the phone with hydro one and she said that it was already built into the price and not a new line like the del charge.

Thanks and sorry, but I will blame the reporter for his wording.
