Hydro grower's need some help bout PH'ing.

My plant sprout today. My water PH stays around 8 ~8.5. I do have Meter but not adjustment kit at this moment. I used the vineager to adjust PH little down but PH constantly goes up aft 1 hour. I think it becasue of the aerogarden water pump circulates nd makes water unstable. So my qustion is,

Do you guys think my plant will survive till my adjustment kit gets here? ( It should be here within 20 days). ( until then, My plant will be drinking PH 8.1 water daily ..)

How come PH goes up nd up even tho i put little vineager in tha water lol ..

Your plant will not last in 8.1 too many elements are locked up. Try lemon juice for ph down.

Hi, 8.1 in less than 20days it will be to far gone in my opinion' any hydro set up's ph is 5.5 but most grower's have their's to 5.8-6.1 when in vegging. to lower ph lemon like woodsmaneh said plus you could also use white vinegar.

You need to go down to any GOOD aquarium shop and get some buffering agent and pH down. If you don't buffer the pH to where you want it, it will always rebound like you are experiencing. In soil, this rarely happens, but in an unbuffered solution, it's critical. IMHO, anyone in Hydroponics needs to have an indepth understanding of water chemistry, pH, CEC, and how that affects a plants ability to take up nutrients. These links may help:

what exactly is buffering?.

A buffer will "set" the pH to a given value, and resist any changes to that value. Read up on the links. they'll help ya. There is a lot of emphasis around here concerning pH, but I see very little understanding of the subject. You can't just add an acid to a base and hope to adjust the pH permanently. It will invariably return to it's former value.
