hydro problem

5 gallon buckett 2 airstones on 60 gallon aqurium pump.1 week ppm 300 ph 5.5 2week ppm400 ph5.6 now on 4th week at 500ppm and ph at 5.6 have them under 600 watts of cfls.add frozen bottles of water for low res.temperature stays about 70 to 72.big bud from bcseedking and the damn things r only 2 inches tall whats UP??? I MOVED THEM TO MY 400 WATT HPS WITH HORTILUXEYE BULB YESTERDAY.these seeds seem strange have some in dirt and they would not grow under the cfls ive grown under these lights b4 but this strain will not grow after i put them under the 400 they took off thats y imoved them.is there some strains that just need hid lighting????can u help me EARL?

But you might want to try and raise your ppm to 800 and only water once a day.
What's your set up like?
What kind of ventilation?
What's your grow medium?
How small are the pot's that their in?

Slow growth could mean several different factors.
Could be as something as simple like transplanting them into a bigger pot.
Or you might be due for resevoir change, you might have too much salt deposit in your resevoir.

I would also like to add that you might want to take them out from under the HPS bulb. When in veg. stat, your plants need a blue light spectrum.

the bulb like i said is a hortiluxeye bulb it has the blue spectrum.... ive come to the conclusion that when i put the bottles in it raises the water level where my medium grodan cubes are stayin soaked they are in 3inch mesh pots ive used it with no problems in the winter,so the only difference is the water level and water bottles ive lowered the water level now so that the medium can dry out,does this make sense???

What hydroponic method are you using?

What your last post sounds like is that your keeping it flooded all the time, is this right?

The ice bottle is shocking the plants you CAN NOT control the temp with a ice bottle.

dwc water from top till roots appear out of mesh pots.ive never had any prob.till the damn ice bottles there comin out damn wake up EARL.LOL BONG checked your systems they look awesome dont u think that if the grodan cubes are staying soaked is the problem?? people use ice bottles all the time to help with temp.ICANMJ

I am Just talking from what happen to me. I even tried the ice packs on the outside on the res. that is a pain in the ass and for 150 bucks i got a CL-85 chiller a very small 12 gallon chiller works like a charm.

I've never tried deep water cultivation.
From what I've been told, DWC is bit more difficult to keep consistent.

I would just make one change at a time. Don't do alot at once. You'll want to monitor your changes, so you can pin point what the problem is.

okay no more ice bottles moved them into my grow room from closet.sectioned off space for them window a/c cranking high in room 82f low 65 will see if that fixes the problem..
