Even with the best nutrients...If applied incorrectly.....wont get you the results you're looking for.

Almost all hydro nutrients will get the job done. Its more up to you and your understanding of how to apply them. So dont get hung up on any brand's advertising. Yes, AN are great nutes. But so is GH, Canna and FoxFarm among others.

Thanks i was starting to by into the whole gotta have AN.

If you want a complete ( But expensive) system that has everything you need except the water then try these guys. BC Northern Lights The bloombox is a decent box from what I hear, but the producer grows 18 plants at a time and has great reviews, I also use a producer and get 1-2 lbs every 9 weeks.

Thanks but that is way over budget, im doing to help some people out not to go bank rup lol.

Sounds like you need to stagger your grow so you get constant yield. the 18 plant thing is really restrictive for 3 people. I would use a flood table set up and stagger your grow. One big mother, take four clones every 2 weeks and veg them another 2 weeks then put them into the flower room. This way you can get a small harvest every 3-4 weeks. This way your guys have a constant supply, harvesting 4 plants at a time. It would be pretty cheap to build four small flood tables with four plants each.

this is a good idea and i think or know i will be incorporating this into my new grow

I think you should think about going with recirculating deep water culture system.you can grow big plants, fast.i grow for two sick people.
12 plants,3-4site systems,i harvest 4 plants every 30 days 1.5lbs or so
every 30 days.you can't do that with ebb-n-flo or tables.as for nutrients you need a good a/b base.then additves b1 trive, humic extract, big bud and more.the rdwc system works the best.

With this system do you need a seperate resv, also? or is just in one tub?

thanks

can a res be shared between multiple trays? like, fill one then drain, then fill the next and drain... if the res has 2 or 3 times the amount of water as needed for one tray, I would think it should stay stable with the extra plants, but it would make it much easier to deal with only one res instead of maintaining 4.
Yes it is a pain to maintain multiple reservoirs but with a continuous harvest grow and hydro it is necessary. Each flood tray contain plants in a different phase of development. You can't just feed them all the same concentrations of nutrients. Young clones don't respond well to 2400 PPM conditions :peace:

is there a book or document someplace just on nutes? I'm doing ok so far with trial and error, but I'd really like to read more on the subject.

There are plenty of books. But there's no better way to learn than diving in.

Just go lightly...30-50% of suggested use and you should be ok.

I have a SoG op with 4 trays and 4 tanks. Each tray serves plants in 2-week bands. Tank1 serves plants in wk1-2, tank 2 for wk2-4, etc. All my tanks run at 1400. However, I have in the past used Canna's PK-13-14 for plants in wk 6-8, which does require that separate tanks are used.

Clones do fine at 1400 from their first day in my flowering area, even having had nothing but plain water since cutting, but I agree- 2400 is way too strong for them... but I don't think I'd hit more mature plants with 2400, either! I get plants without deficiencies at 1400 from go to whoa. There's a bell curve to this. More is not always better- these are cannabis plants, not V8 engines. Once you pass the peak of the nute strength bell curve, productivity reduces.

now that's a silly thing to say....of course you can do that on tables..i get at the very least a pound every 2 weeks.and my roots dont knit. dwc is great but dont knock the tables cause you dont use em'
I have done tables and ebb and flow,1 lbs every two weeks with only 12 plants (the legal limit)is not going to happen.I'm not bashing tables but this guy is a patient and he needs the best yield with limited plant count.

This can not be done legally.A legal patient can only have 6 plants!
Tables are great for underground grows.not legal.
ok now wich is it 12 plants or 6????

if it's 6 then ok but 12 and you could do a small sog with 4 plants....
but whatever you want.:peace:
