Hi all I am now finishing up a grow and after pretty much losing the whole crop to root rot I need to clean the system thurally to get rid of any baddies left in my Nft system before I start up again. I have read up that I can use hydrogen peroxide 35% to clean and flush through the system my question is I have got hydrogen peroxide 35% at my work place but I am unsure if I can use it (pictures attached) as all that I have read is that it's all got to be food grade and the stuff I can get does not say food grade on it anywhere! I could get the stuff from my local hydroponic shop which is only 11% and costs a small fortune. I hope that someone here has a better understanding of this stuff and could tell me if I can use this or not or even better tell me how much to dilute to clean my system thanks all
Yes it can be used ,just make sure that you give it a really good clean after to get rid of any left in the system.Make sure that you put a bit in the main tank, and add hot water, leave a while then just give a wipe.
Thanks forgetting back to me so you think this grade is okay to use in hydroponics ? do you know what sort of mixture to use? I was planning on mixing it into a litre spray bottle by spraying it on leaving it a little while and then the scrubbing with a scrubbing brush then wipe off as much as I can with a clean rag then thoroughly rinse of with more hot water
