have you considered lady bugs? totally natural and they will eat the eggs. Or dragonflies are a natural predator of gnats.

I gather that a certain amount of H2o2 Hydrogen Peroxide - trade names include Oxy, OxyPlus can have a VERY beneficial effect on the amount of dissolved Oxygen in your Res/Feed/watering solution, resulting in lush growth and big buds. the proportion added is critical, and if you add it at killing/cleaning/sterilizing strengths you will kill your girls I believe. Try a dilute soap spray, I do not think it kills, but they detest it, and bugger off somewhere else you can then rinse them with tepid water and foliar feed. I keep goldfish in my rainwater catchment, no gnats, no mosquitos no problem.

i hate fungus gnats! hydrogen peroxide is good at a few things. one is that it'll kill bennies in your medium. i use neem oil and sticky traps for gnats. a thin layer of sand over the top of the medium will work too.
