So i started a little experiment about a month ago, I germed some cantaloupe and put them in rockwool cubes, when they out the cubes I put them in a dwc system. A month later they became huge and took over my grow cabinet so i got rid of all but one.

You better start building a trellis or netting. They are going to spread out and look for things to climb.

P.S. A dollar store electric tooth brush works great when you need to pollinate plants.
The vibration stirs the hell out of the pollen.

Good luck. I have done indoor tomatoes but never a vining type of plant.
I might try cucumbers some time.

P.S. Trimming it back would work. You keep one or two vines only you could end up with a few very large cantaloupes. Being me, I would go for getting as many as you can on this experiment.

you could try letting it run up a line then just drape it back down like the farmers do with cucumbers. That plant is going to get BIG.
