Thanks sixspeedv

I'm a little over 7 full weeks now. About a week until I chop them.

Mind you, they look beautiful if I were a flusher lol. There has been no flush involved, but it appears the nitrogen is gone in most of the plants so it should be extremely smooth smoke. Something good that will come from this.

It doesn't appear that the yield wasn't affected too much. They are rock hard, caked up and overall very nice buds.

Ill chop them in a week.

The next batch of clones are just about ready to start veg. I'll do better this time, promise.

Thanks keeper1981

I harvested Friday and it's been drying a few days now. Looks like the yield will be decent, I'm expecting 2+ but we will see. 10 plants, 1000w, 20 days veg, not bad considering the issues with the grow. This is one heavy yielding strain regardless and will take a beating while still putting out nice flowers.

Will update with the final tally and smoke report in a few days. FINALLY finished this thread woo-hoo!

Hello Rollitup Community,
I will be picking up a tray of GG#4 Monday. I am curious if others have found the supposed trademark twisted leaf???
Only to know its the real deal, seeing as I am getting off a Craigslist vendor.
Also any and all information, tips and such as far as growing this strain that is new to me.
Thanks in advance.

Happy Harvest

Along with the twisted leaves you should be able to rub the stem and be rewarded with the smell of sweaty gym socks.
Easy grower.

I've had other strains with the twisted leaf trait as well, so that's not a dead ringer for GG#4.

Good luck, post some pics once you get the tray and we should be able to help you.

Good luck

Here's day 6. My bad.

A few are not glue, the 2 on the far left and the two all the way to the right behind the front right are other strains.

Not sure how much I'll be updating here, but I'll finish the journal.20150906_002345.jpg 20150906_002414.jpg 20150906_002448.jpg

Same nutes. Maxibloom, maxigrow, calmag, epsom, silica sometimes. 920ppm here 5.4-6.0ph drift. Vegged 4.5weeks. 24" tall right now. Floods every 3ish hours, mostly hydroton. Using smart pots again. I think that's about it.

Until next time..

You are not using any netting this run? And didn't you have them in a tent last run?
I won't be using a trellis this round and instead I will be using stakes so I can rotate plants if needed, etc. Yeah, they were in a tent last grow but I'm using 2k watts this time and growing bigger plants, my tent was an odd size at 3.5x7.5' so the foot print was pretty dumb for 1000w lights. Also, I wasn't liking the height of the tent so I've gained about a foot of extra height I can now use. Should be much better for a lot of reasons, but we'll see. Last run I ran into a lot of dud branches that had to be thrown out, out I'm hoping this run goes smooth and the plants don't show the sickness again.

Fwiw, this is how I vegged them prior to putting them in the ebb buckets. I used a simple flood and drain tray, which in contrast is exactly the same as the ebb buckets, but takes up less room. Very good way to veg a number of plants to a good height in a small space when preparing for a bucket grow.

This is week 4 before they were put into flower. I used t5 8 bulb fixture with maxigrow, maxibloom, calmag and dm zone.

Day 14

Things are looking good. I had aeroknow over to take a peek and he said there is absolutely no sickness in the gear this round. So this round should bring in close to the gpw :) The combo of croutons and plant sickness was a double thumbs down last round so I'm hoping to make up for it alpha style this time. Not sure why I changed anything for my last two grows and tried new things and advice, but here's a tip. If you kill it 100% all the time doing what you're doing, don't change a thing!

Now that we're back on track in alpha land (lol, I like the sounds of that) the plants are already setting buds at day 14, stretching like a monster like they are supposed to do and have no purple in the stems other than the petioles, which is normal from my observations with this cut.

I'm used a mix of 50/50 maxibloom and grow for the first two weeks and just switched to mostly maxibloom and a little maxigrow until I feel it's time to go full bloom. There's Epsom and Calmag as always for additives.

PH is 5.5-6.0 drifting.

Height is about 4' off the floor, growing between 1.5-3" daily, but slowing down now.

Will be staking tomorrow and lolipoping.

Anddddddd I think that's about it for now.

Let's keep these fuckers mean and green!

Oh, the last pic is a gg4 in soil. She's doing great as well. The nutrient mix on that one I'll be keeping a secret, sorry bongsmilie

Dam bro they are stretching. Looking good this round. You are growing trees I'm growing mini trees.......lol

Thanks man. They are stretching for sure! They've already doubled in size, about 20" to 40". I'm stoked :) Should make for the start of a great grow. I usually don't grow bigger size plants either, well mostly never indoor. It's been years since I've grown anything bigger than 3' inside, but I figure the extra height within the same size footprint will work good since I only have 6 plants per light this round and they'll need every extra inch they can get to yield decent. I'll probably be doing 9 per light next round, but a little smaller size

Nice! I running a trial run and doing 9-12 per light (600 watts) I'm running aero/nft. 3x600 watts with a 9 week strain. So I harvest every 3weeks. I prefer a perpetual cycle that way I'm not trimming all at one time which I don't like doing.

Hell yeah! That's the only way to do it! God I hate trimming lol. I have some gdp about to come down in a week and not looking forward to it :( it should be more manageable since I did a sog with small plants, but still, blah

Another thing I just realized I don't like too much is staking, man, it's harder than it looks! It makes me appreciate indica Dom varieties a little bit more for their ease of growing lol

How's your glue coming along? How tall do you flower at and how tall are they by harvest?
