Hydroponic Set-Up Question? Question about Drippers?

I am using a deep water culture (DWC) system with 4.2gph drippers on top. I currently run the drippers 24/7 during the day, is this too much? Should I turn the drippers off when the light are off? Is it possible to overwater a hydroponic plant?
