Loving the Star Trek light hyroot! Do you have more than one, or is that a different configuration of the same light on the side?

Here is my new contraption:

You must spread.......

Hey Hy! Definitely need to hang out here more. Maybe I'll change my "pseudo" organic ways finally :). But I ain't giving up mah Clonex!!!!! Besides, they cut down all the willow trees to make cloning liquid out of years ago around where I live. Assholes :(.

Also I've been meaning to ask you something, if kelp is an excellent source of iodine, how do you know that the kelp you use is iodine free? Or am I crazy worrying about it? Tobacco has specific trace amounts of iodine and three's a butt load of qualified people who point to that as a significant cause of disease from cigarette smoking, along with the countless of other chemicals they put in those fuckers to keep people addicted. It's just that sometime we borrow techniques from floriculture and they're really for the florist industry and could be dangerous for our needs. I was just wondering if you've ever thought about something like that, Kaptain Kelp ;). Or am making mountains.........

Keep it Rockin' Hy. And yes thanks for the pix!
Thanks for the kind words and following. Im not sure about the iodine. It comes from the ocean so it may be unavoidable... Then again some sea salt has no iodine. You may be trippin over nothing.

Tobacco alone not counting all the chems is highly carcinogenic. I doubt they grow it organically, I don't smoke cigs so....

So I am aiming for a perpetual grow in a 3x3 tent with a 3x3x2 chamber attached to it. I built a modular scrog that is 16"x16" x4 and a little stand so I don't have to bring the light to them and I can dry underneath my grow so I don't have to worry about the mesll
some inrterseting ideas

My experience with Mainlining was very 'MEH' and I've switched to a modular scrog which for me does better all around.
I thought mainlining is modular scrog. At least thats what hey called it when Nugs had that article in Weed Magazine last year.

You decided what you're going to do yet? Since you have all that wide space...why not just let em go and branch out?
I have not decided yet. Most are too tall and thick for lst. I may just top multiple times and maybe mainline a few and super crop and lst some newer lateral branches..

For mainlining I just bend the fast branches until they are the same height as the slower ones. On the Mulanje #2 every time I would do this a different branch would take off and become dominant. It was like musical chairs!

She was looking pretty good until the rain caused everything to flop!

turned out nicely still:

Cheers,
Mo
Thanks for the mainlining tip. Again that plant was beautiful.

Nice setup. I have not yet seen anyone use the spinners for mmj. I'm not sure which light you are referring too. I have an area 51 sgs 160 led panel then inda gro 42o induction lamp with add one led pontoons. That saddle one, They have 660 deep red leds and 730 Ir leds that turn on at lights out. The 30 leds run off a battery that charges while the light is on. it holds a 5 minute cgarge and slowly dims til its off. Recreating sunset. Sending plants into its phytochrome state faster.

Excellent thread and very nice grow, hyroot. I found it when searching for info on inductive lights and was hoping you could give some up. How many grows with them? How is heat? Do they compare to a 750-1000w hps? And really anything else you might find informative. I have been able to find 400w bulbs and ballasts in 2700k and 6500k and can build each light for around $450 so I have been giving serious thought to trying it instead of adding another 1k hps that would stress my ac. Thanks. SS1.

You can still enjoy the Corned Beef and Cabbage! How you been PSUAGRO?

H - I was talking about how in one pic the light was overhead and in another it was off to the side. Do you have multiple lights, a mover, or do you move the light around to get better coverage? Yum on the hash! We need to get together and have a cannoli session :)

im on my 2nd grow. there is a learning curve. 2 inda gro / pontoon combos will out perform a 1000w. I have not run 1 by itself so I can't say to how well one light does alone. I have 3. i got the same size buds as my best hps grows. but far denser and frostier. i also had a few setbacks and learning curves with this light. I will never use hps again. if i ever go back to hid. it would be back cmh..

Building your own you will have to supplement deep red . . Others the glass isn't the same thickness through the whole bulb. So they fail. Riant induction was promising until scarholes failed 3 times and they wouldn't cover the warranty. So he got an inda gro too. Imo if you go induction. Inda Gro is the only way to go. They have the best customer service ever. It is expensive $1500 for an inda gro 420 with add on led pontoon. 10 year warranty on the light and 5 year warranty on the pontoon. total 460 watts and covers a 4x4 -5x5.

its uncanning how much healthier and lush plants are under induction. with minimal effort.

i have 3 inda gros 2 420's with led pontoons and one vpar 420 with led pontoons. the vpar does not have the 730nm leds. The 420's hang over head and the vpar sits in the center and is designed for vertical growing and can be hung long ways or tall ways. At inda gro the call the long way the hyroot option. they never thought of hanging it that way. they just had the holes for hanging multiple vpars together.

here is an older pic of the vpar before i got the pontoons on it.

actually I did have some corned beef and cabbage, usually don't eat irish cuisine; but make an exception once a year:P I'm good Mo............how about you? still killing it on a skateboard???

So is anyone going to break up some cheap home depot lava rocks for aeration this year?? wondering how pure it is, probably needs to be "cooked off" first.....still have crappy perlite left.

I am keeping it simple this year. Except for the new indoor LED grow :P

I actually have been riding the board a little bit each day. Just little treks around the hood. No tricky bone breaking stuff :)

Thanks for reminding me - I need to put the Corned beef in the slow cooker!

Later,
Mo

2 waterings ago. I dumped left over compost tea into my worm bin. Got it soaking wet. Checked today. Still pretty wet. The worms are feeding like crazy and are all over the bin instead of in the corner. Or buried along the bottom. The worms are huge now too. They love the over saturated environment. I was afraid of drowning them... It was more beneficial. I'm going to let them go another 2 weeks then harvest the bin. Then start a 3 level bin..
