Everyone! It has been to long since my last grow(s) and much has changed! I moved to a different state, basically had to start from the ground up again, though I kept a clone of Jack Herer, "JH", and a clone of White Widow, "WW". I also was given a seed of Grape Ape, "GA", from a friend who pulled it out of some very VERY nice smoke, lucky me it was a girl!
Long story short I'm all settled in and have 4 plants, all 16 days into flowering, under a 600 watt HPS and dim-able ballast, "which is very nice to have, I try to simulate the setting and rising of the sun hahaha".
I have LST'd "for those who don't know that means Low Stressed Trained", all of my plants. I prefer low stress training my plants because It keeps them short and bushy with multiple cola's. I also find an increase in yield when LSTing, around a 40-80% increase in the strains that I have grown before without doing LST.
Setup:
- 1 closet, narrow and long, around 2' by 4.5' and around 5'10'' tall, the inside is covered with reflective goodness
- 1 600watt electronic MH/HPS auto sense switchable and dim-able ballast
- 1 600 watt HPS bulb rated atlike 85,000 lumens I think, I also have a 600watt MH bulb
- 4 3-1/2 gallon pots, but I am only using three of them. the GA is in a 2 gallon pot because I didn't know what gender it was and didn't feel like wasting dirt and time if it was a dude.
- 1 rectangular dome cool tube reflector
- Foxfarm Ocean forest soil and Foxfarm nutes,"grow big, big bud, tiger bloom", I also have a bottle of Calmag, the WW is a calcium WHORE!
Plants:
- All plants are around 8-12 inches tall, will get exact peak height of each next update
-WW: have grown this plant for over a year and a half now, cannot remember the genetics but it has an average yield that is greatly increased with LST, SOG, and SCROG method. Gets around 2.5-3.5 feet tall with average veg time. LST height is usually around 1.5 feet. Buds are retarded frosty and smells like skunky citrus, also absolutely covered with orange hairs when it is done. I also put my South Korean good luck charm on this plant and over the weeks it grew so much that I cant get it off until I chop it down haha, hopefully it'll give my plant some magic zen and make her one with the energy of the universe, resulting in danky goodness
- JH: This plant triples in height when you flower it if it is not LST'd. Buds are fat, smelly, spicy, resinous, and crystally. When cured perfectly this strain blows WW out of the water. Yields are heavier than the WW but flowering time is around 11 weeks unlike the WW's 9 weeks. Like the WW I have been growing it for over a year and a half and it's yield is increased with LST. I don't know the genetics of this plant either haha but this is the only strain I have grown that smells like prime dank when it is vegging hahaha, its kinda ridiculous
-GA: I cant really tell you anything about this since this is my first run with GA, It stays really really short until you flower it, then it goes crazy for a bit. Cant comment on the buds since they are very small like the rest of my plants and all look the same. Grows tarantula looking fan leaves that are deep green. A true indica. When you rub the stem and smell your fingers you get an actual grape/dank/skunk smell, it's delicious
If you actually read all that then I guess your ready for pictures! I took 1 picture of the four of them and then took individual plant pictures and pictures of the bases of the plants so you can see the torture Ive put them through
