I am wondering if my reservoir is too warm and some other questions relating to using a barrel to pr

I am using a 55 gallon barrel to premix a large batch of water/food.

Filled a half barrel first time to make sure everything was alright and noticed after checking the barrel afterwards that there was alot of what seemed like algea or some kind of buildup. also the tubing that was inside the barrel for the pump i use to water was
white or seemed to have some growth

When i noticed it I freaked out and cleaned it all up and didn't refill it until I went to my local hydro shop to ask about it.

I mentioned to my local hydroponics store and showed them pictures and they said that it was just buildup from the nutes and that it was nothing to worry about and to just clean the barrel after everygrow.

I imagine that if i did a whole grow like this my pump and everything would be absolutely covered in this stuff.

I suspect that it is either that the barrel is too warm(if i put my finger in the whole for hoses etc it feels quite warm or if i open the top and look in its warm on my face), or the nutrients arent very clean and the nutes I'm using are the shops house line so they just wanna say its normal.

I've since purchased a 1000gph pump to circulate the water, and added a small dose of UC roots to the barrel. Since the beginning 2 water stones aerating the water.

Am I wrong to be thinking that the water should stay relatively clean over a matter of just a couple of weeks?

Here's a imgur link to the pic i took after the first grow https://imgur.com/a/plJMta5

After my next water the barrel will be empty so i will check it again and post again a picture of it.

I run my barrels dry about once a week to clean them. Algae will grow and slime it up in about 3 days. My air stones plug up too

EDIT: Haven't seen anything like that in my hydro grows. What is the water temperature in your res and the ph? And what are you using for food and what is the concentration?
