Have you ever known anyone to do "the stitch"?

How large would you say that picture would be finished?

Also - how long do you think it would take to stitch that? I can usually make an hour-approximation if I know how big it is, or the stitch count per square inch.

p.s. I don't want to get your hopes up, I can't stitch that for you. My cross stitching binges are often saved for unemployment or prolonged illness.

But guessing is fun! hahah

hahahaha.

Well, if it's the size I think it is, it would probably take at least 150 - 200 hours of SOLID stitching. Usually several months.
Or if you are unemployed and OCD like me - you can put in a solid 10-14 hours a day of stitching - in which case it only take a couple weeks.

You're probably going to be real slow at the start - so you better get crackin'.

I believe in you!

Camman - it's very satisfying if you do it yourself. Plus you get to feel like your retirement-age...and that's pretty fun!

serious question this time. is that an average size for one of those, or is it on the smaller side like me thinks?
The race car picture is pretty small. The above picture is a very small thread count per square inch (the stitching canvas you buy can have a lot of detail per inch, or less).

Your picture would probably fit into the bottom flowers and about 1/8th of that big sugar-skull girl pattern.

I cheaped out and didn't buy the above pattern, and just did it off an internet picture. NOT the best idea - it's hard as shit without a pattern.

yeah, i read the second one i posted is a counted cross stitch, which i think just means a blank canvas, and you have to follow the directions and count the holes in the canvas to know where to put the colors..
being i'm pretty color blind, i don't think cross stitch is the sport for me.. :(

Actually - your pattern would probably turn out AWESOME.

You could just guess which colours you thought were what.

Are you red-green colour blind?

It could turn out to be something epic...your own take on cross-stitches!
