I just came across this and it kinda makes me not want to carry my cellphone everywhere. But then I think of emergencies. Then I realize everyone else is gonna have one anyways.

I got some crazy looks, like I was insane, when I told people in real life that I didn't 'unfriend' them but deleted my facebook acct. It was like telling an older child santa doesn't exist.

never had a facebook acct, never will

the cell phone is the reason why i have little friends. i know this old man dave, we talk threw email and spend time with each other. never before have i been with people and them not pick up their cell phones. i never carry mine because i dont use it. this is what i constantly see every time i step out my door, people want to talk but its with a cell phone. literally they will be talking to no one on the phone yet they are trying to converse with me and try to get one started with a cell phone its fucking idiotic. i know the modern language of american and cell phone but i cant seem to bring myself to speak it.

I can't even have a conversation with my son anymore, he doesn't listen he's always texting or talking on his phone I have argued with him so much because of this, I make him leave his phone in his room at mealtimes the world has gone mad no one speaks to each other anymore I have threatened to smash his phone before now, and you should have seen his face anyone would have thought I had just told him I was goin to shoot him. The old days were better when you spoke face to face and had proper conversations and this face book thing is ridiculous it causes terrible trouble between people I don't entertain it call me old fashioned.

I don't use FB, Twitter, or any of that stuff. I have enough drama in my life without it.

Anyone remember getting letters in the mail from family and friends, and having a rotary phone? Then VCR's came out, and it was amazing to go get a movie and watch it at home? Life sure was different, and not that long ago.

i have even heard that some schools no longer teach kids how to write, everything is done on an ipad instead.. i find that to be rather disturbing if true to say the least..

stopped using my face account. ran down my minutes by talking to my grandma and now the next step is to get the computer less used but more for research and never have to worry about the surrounding world.

I couldn't call a girl directly, I most likely ended up talking to her dad or mom on the phone and they had an idea of who was calling. Now it's direct communication. I'm glad my gen didn't have youtube to memorialize all my stupid shit as a kid. I won't have to explain why my kids can't do the same stupid shit I did, because "look dad you're on the internet jumping off a bridge naked with a watermelon on your head."
