yep, i'm making a bold statement. it's really not that dangerous. i don't recommend any source of ignition nearby when using butane but i'm not scared. i'm not sure what would happen if it ignited. maybe someday i will do an actually experiment outside. throw a match and run. i know people who have had accidents but it was always because of the extractor blowing apart at the fittings due to high pressure. it just pops but it makes a bug sticky mess. someone i know ignited their kitchen counter. they said it was just one big quick flash then it was out. if curtains were nearby though ........... please be careful, but don't be afraid.

it's on it's way ............ IMG_6326.jpg

couple quick ones. How much for extractor, can it be a DIY (I'm a cheap ass by nature) looks like pvc with fittings on each end . Alternate screen = dollar? Efficiency and tastiness compared to your other methods, noted that you used previously processed trim noted. Thanks

the trim i keifed first didn't produce a whole lot. there was some. i guess i'd say it was worth it. but the bud i ground up was loaded. it was some outdoor warlock that i let go until all the hairs and trichs were brown. i let it over ripen so i could make some really stony hash with it. the honey will be even better. once it fully dries and i start to scrape it it smells amazing. just like the bud it came from. the taste has it's own uniqueness. i prefer this method over them all. :blsmoke:

you can use paper coffee filters as replacement screens. that is what i am using for this batch. only use 5 times filtered or better butane. :peace:

thats the same tray I use. Its going to be easier to scrape then that bowl I think.
I just set the pan on the stove at low setting and scrape. Keep moving the pan to avoid hot spots.
Oil is my fav method also. There's nothing better then solid hash oil. Thanks for paving my path in this direction.

isnt it true that the less bubbles you get in it after the butane has evaporated the better the quality will be? i have some old oil that has been sitting around and it really isnt sticky anymore and its kinda powdery but i think its better when its hella sticky! is that what you meant by powdery?

what is what happens when all the butane is gone? it gets powdery or it doesnt have any bubbles in it?
