a bud growing on a fan leaf

Actually, I have seen this before. Although it is very rare to see this.. or even better.. to have this happen to you is pretty rare itself ya dig?

And yeah, that one guy is right... when he said that you can get a fan leaf to root (takes time tho). Even though you can get it to root.. for some reason it won't grow. I mean.. you can't expect to be able to grow a whole plant.. just from rooting a fan leaf. I've tried it. :)

anyhow, nice pictures man.

thats what i was thinking. it has to hae a newgrowth shoot of some kind. it looks like the leafs stem was scratched and the plant gave it the wrong hormone or something. pretty nuts

looks fake
it must be fake if you make an account just to say so...
Its not impossible to create new growth shoots in fan leaves. its crazy hard and finicky but not impossible there are threads on here discussing such things. Theoretically you could damage the outer layer of stem in between the leaf blades and recreate the hormones that are used by plants to determine where new growth is. i havent done iit or seen it doen but from my limited understanding of botany it sounds plausible

didnt smoke it and harvested the plant early because i ran out of room and she was small. i guess i should have tried to clone it to be the first to clone a plant from a fan leaf

Too bad you didn't have the room to keep it.
It would have been interesting to let that one
play out. You never know ... you might have
ended up with a killer mutant strain :weed: ...j/k

from the looks of the pic it had newgrowth. there were leaflets on the budsite. they had to come form somewhere. like i said though it looked like it got scratched and accidentally sent the wrong hormones. plant can make mistakes too :bigjoint:
