I had my GF trim my plants...

I've been working a lot and I asked my girlfriend to trim up my plants but to leave a good amount of leaves. She definitely pruned more than I would have liked. This is the result....

So should I be concerned? And how much longer do I keep them growing now?

dude that really sucks. i think you will be ok though. ive seen plenty of posts on here where people purposly trim their leaves so the buds can get light. (witch makes no since. buds dont need light. leaves do.). what im getting to is that their plants still finished up. hopefully yours will to.

Lmao yeah I can imagine how that sounds, but the conversation went something like this...

I was talking to her on my break and she was like "You're plants are looking amazing baby, but we should trim some of the leaves so the buds get more light..."

We've been doing this together and I am new to this so I figured it would help, i told her hell yeah go for it just leave some of the bigger leaves...

This morning I did some google searches and read that the bud itself doesn't absorb the light, the leaves do...so without question this was my own mistake lol

Trimming your leaves is quite acceptable, and is very common amongst SCROG growers. I do it, and my yield has never been compromised vs when I didn't trim. Of course you don't trim ALL the leaves, but trimming SOME leaves to allow better light penetration is very acceptable, and can do away with quite a bit of the popcorn by allowing them to develop more.

I haven't noticed any adverse effects in the past days. Although some of the white hairs are turning a pinkish orange color and the smell is getting stronger. It's cool watching the buds get fatter now.

Well it's hard to find time to trim marijuana plants when you're working 2 jobs and a full time student. So like I said, I thought it wasn't a big deal and told her to just do it without me. I'm not some expert, I don't have 1290+ posts on this forum or a lot of experience growing. The plants are looking fine and I'm pretty satisfied with the results for my first attempt at growing.
